The cottage is truly relaxing. As soon as you walk in you feel a beautiful breeze off the ocean and can see and hear the surf below.The porch is such an easy place to relax: stare out at the ocean, watch the numerous butterflies and birds that live in the meadow or have a drink with a great book.The cottage is very well looked after and is equipped with everything you might need. We loved the location as it was between the town of Hana and the national park.Michelle, the host, was terrific with providing all the information we needed for an enjoyable stay.While visiting, we loved swimming at Hamoa Beach, hiking the Pipiwai Trail and gulch trail, the Hana Highway with its spectacular views and the people/shops of Hana.The cottage is the perfect place to capture the best that Maui has to offer.

We had a very relaxing visit at the beautiful lush garden property of Terry & Michael’s. We explored the area around Hana, enjoying the water fall hike, swimming and embracing the laid back ambiance of Maui.Thank you, Terry & Michael, for the farm fresh eggs, vegetables , fruit and herbs.

It was a very special spectacular rejuvenating paradise. It was hard to leave it.We are very grateful for this experience and having met Larry.

This cottage is such a gem. The views alone from the balcony are stunning and make this place totally worth it. Beyond that, Roberta is an excellent host, very communicative and helpful. Additionally, staying in Hana is such an amazing time, and this place puts you in a very accessible location to food, shops and beaches. Overall the cottage was perfect; clean, cozy and very homey- highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!

If you are looking for a peaceful place to call home while you adventure around the town of Hana, this is your place! The upstairs bungalow with a screened in porch is a great place to relax and listen to the bamboo trees shift in the wind. The ktichen had everything we needed, including coffee already waiting for us in the frig! We brought some basic food from the Kahalui side of the island, and ate dinner at the food trucks 5 mins away by car. You can walk to Hamoa bay beach in 17 minutes and it's a short drive to haleakala park for beautiful hikes. This is a jem of a property to stay at!

The plants and trees surrounding the cottage are alive with beautiful morning bird songs. Our stay at Hale Ulu was pleasant and peaceful.

A great place to stay especially if you want to book an early slot at the Wainapanapa State Park and have lots of time to hike the Pipiwai trail. The host was very welcoming, she greeted us at the gate and introduced us to all the animals. Pizza down the road was delicious!
