For anyone looking for an authentic 1700 cottage stay in Amish country - you have found your location! Our stay was perfection from the moment we booked. Our host was accommodating above compare. He gave us local recommendations, left us homemade cookies to enjoy and even let us check in a bit early before our tickets for Sight and Sound theatre which was close by. We took another couple with us and both couples had appropriate privacy for sleeping, even with the authentic plank floors upstairs. The property is not ‘fancy’ but, instead, cozy and authentic. For those coming from ‘city’ living, just keep in mind that you are truly in the country with regular country sounds and smells. We can’t wait to plan our return trip for next year.

Property was clean and perfectly situated to all activities in Lancaster. We were a group of 8, and we all had lots of room - bedrooms were good size, lots of bathrooms, large kitchen and dining room table, two living room areas with tv, and large sitting room that was nice for reading. There was a good size backyard that our kids enjoyed for soccer games. Overall a great place to stay.

This priperty was forst class. We felt welcomed by our host and the fire pit by the river was amazing. We also found this locatuon to be ideal for our visits to Hershey, Lancaster &.Strausburg

The king-sized bed was so comfortable. We had such a good rest. It was central for our sight seeing to Hershey Pennsylvania, the Sight and Sound Theatre and the many flea markets in the area. Martha was just a text away if we needed anything. She filled the fridge with water and cold bevies for us along with wonderful snacks on the buffet in the room. The shower had good pressure and the room was a comfortable temperature comsidering the scorching heat outside. We plan a return visit to Sught amd Sound next summer and hope to rebook our stay with Martha.

We came to Lancaster to see Moses at Sight and Sound Theater and Michael W Smith at The American Music Hall. The Eden House was a perfect location. Also enjoyed the Worship Centre just down the street. The cottage was very clean, landscaped beautifully and everything that we needed. Beds were comfortable! Thank you!

Cute little home with everything you need. If you have scent sensitivity you will need to ask ahead of time for host to remove plug-ins.
