Kefalonia cottages

We loved Lemoni for so many reasons: the quiet location with stunning views, the lovely garden with pool, the airy open plan living - simple yet stylish. And then the bonus of having an excellent family run restaurant within easy walking distance! We are sure to be back. Ideal for a couple who actually like each other and whose holiday priorities include tranquillity and beauty.

Lovely villa with fantastic views of mountains and countryside, very peaceful, just birdsong and the churchbells from the local village which is just a few minutes away, the village has great restaurants and bakeries and a bar and small supermarket, it's in an ideal location for exploring the island and has plenty of great beaches a short drive away, some great coffee shops a 5 minute drive away and only 10 minutes into argistoli, John cleaned the pool every couple of days and kept the outside area tidy, you wouldn't even have known he was there, they left some supplies in the fridge, very useful for the first night and a home cooked meal was waiting on arrival which was delicious, the villa was cleaned more often than you usually get and the bedding and towels were also done, John gave us notice when this would be done which was very useful, really and enjoyed our stay, so relaxing, would love to stay again.

This is a lovely cottage with everything we needed for our two week stay. The owners, Mike and Maria were such friendly and helpful hosts we felt we had known them for years. Mike entertained us with his Accordian playing and singing, he even arranged a Cyclone while we were there, very exciting..

My sister, mother and I spent a wonderful week at the Blue Lagoon Villa in August. Marios and his wife could not have been more welcoming and helpful. It was like having local friends; Marios would offer suggestions on where to go, where to park (very useful on popular beaches!) and the best places to eat. We arrived late at night and Marios and his wife waited for us so he could welcome us to our new home for the week. It is a fantastic location, especially if you want to get away from the more tourist spots, although the main beach on the southern end of the island is less than 30 minutes away. And there is a less crowded beach in Poros, 10 minutes away from the house. Nothing is very far away on Kefalonia. We found ourselves leaving the most beautiful beaches to go back to the villa for the wonderful view, peace and quiet and a gentle breeze to ease the heat. The villa grounds have lovely positioned seating that enables you to have a 360 degree view with a great wrap around deck. You would need to rent a car to stay here, it is not in a town. But most of the sights of Kefalonia require you to have a car. Marios would be sure to have a good recommendation on where to rent a car for a reasonable price! We didn't think of this before we came and went with an online company and probably ended up paying above the odds. The villa itself has everything you need and I am sure that should there be anything extra needed, Marios will deliver it. One night we had a fish BBQ and Marios brought us a big fish knife over. Without question, we will be back.

We had a wonderful short visit to the island. The cottage is lovely with plenty of charm and stylish touches; we loved the peaceful valley setting. We explored the area and found some open tavernas in the nearby village which is a short walk away. Our visit was early season, so we were able to do some of the walking trails. Abi was very kind and helpful and recommended places to visit and walks to do.

Woderful holiday and excellent attention from the management team; the property was all that we wanted and more besides; great views from the terrace over the sea the sunsets were amazing; needless to say we will return.
