From the moment we stepped through the door we all felt at home.Swallows Nest is decorated and furnished very well. The space flows and make you feel very relaxed. The kitchen was gorgeous and to look out onto such a view. We were lucky to have the weather we had, everywhere we went was so easy to get to. Beds were so comfortable and bathrooms light and tastefully decorated. State of the art washing machine and drier made things easier too. Make sure you sample the farms honey and eggs... Best we've had in a while. So lucky to have found such a lovely place and Laura is the best host. Couldnt fault a thin. during out stay was
Perfect place to stay whether long or short stay. I'm currently working in the area and this property is perfect location. It is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. My wife and dog also came for a few days and loved staying here. Andrew and Jeanette are the perfect hosts, very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I will definitely be using this property in the future. I highly recommend it to others.
Cosy little cottage. Ideally located on the edge of Berwick, within walking distance of all amenities. Berwick is a lovely town to explore, with lots of history and plenty of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
The Northumberland coast is beautiful (we loved Coldingham bay and StAbbs) and the cottage is handy for visiting the border towns. Melrose is particularly attractive.
We had an excellent holiday and would definitely recommend the cottage. Thank you to Steph and John for good communication and the lovely welcome pack.
This is a fab and very economical place for seeing both Scotland and the beautiful Northumberland coast! It is such a lovely cozy place. We had glorious weather when we stayed so maybe we were a bit spoilt, however, you can not take away the fact that this areas has such a great deal to offer! It's right off the A1 so very central yet very tranquil. To the South Edinburgh an hour away, which is absolutely fabulous! To the North, OMG the coastline is amazing! Holy Island is a must! In terms of the accommodation, all very comfortable, beds are lovely and so comfortable. You are literally on sea front! Lovely sounds of the sea at night! The kitchen is quite small so don't expect to seat 5 even though it says to. The back garden is not completely secure, until you go across the party yard and enter the small garden with a gate on it. If your dog is well behaved you do not need the back as the front garden is the beach!!! There is a small space at the back for sitting out but it is not private. The bathroom is very comfortable. This is a really good place for visiting around here and was scrupulously clean and smelt lovely when we arrived. It looked like it had new carpets and newly decorated. Heather, who looks after the place was very attentive when I texted her! All in all a fab holiday!!!!!
