Wonderful Villa; superb hosts

We stayed at Villa Ante for 2 weeks - 8 adults and 2 children under 12. It was a little warmer than we were expecting to say the least so the air conditioning throughout was heaven sent. The pool was perfect - for the children and the adults. The ‘shelf’ in the pool ensures the younger children can still enjoy the pool without worrying about the depth. The pictures and the description of the villa are all completely accurate. And finally - the hosts. Wow. You simply could not expect or ask for more. Denis, Petra and Bozenka were so responsive but kept their distance. The peka they prepared for us was incredible and the restaurant they booked for us one night (Konoba Pendo - within walking distance) was so good we went back on our last night. Thank you all for everything.

Incredible house, incredible location

This house is tucked away nicely in the hills of Zmijavci with incredible views through the valley, roughly about 1h20 drive from Split and the airport.The house is well-presented and everything is as described and works as it should.The pool is not heated but is the perfect temperature in the summer. It's also highly recommended for babies/toddlers as the steps area leading into the pool is like a mini-pool suitable for non-swimming children.Location wise, there are some nice small places to get food and drink in Zmijavci but there are some more up market places nearby in Imotski.Marijana as a host was incredible helpful and accommodating, buying us groceries for the first couple of days as we arrived late on Saturday and Sunday was a public holiday. She even provided us with a screwdriver set when we were trying to put batteries into one of the kids toys! She was very quick to respond to any query I sent to her.Overall, this is the perfect villa for a Croatian get away, we hardly left the villa other than to eat because we enjoyed it so much. Thanks Marijana!

Peaceful, idyllic location

We loved our holiday accommodation. Really peaceful and set in the countryside with great views and privacy. Pool was perfect and we all enjoyed the garden area especially. Inside the house was clean and had everything we needed. Air conditioning kept the house at a cool temperature. We explored much of Croatia from this base, the coast being only a 30 minute drive. Makarska was lovely for a meal out in the evening. All in all a great holiday which we will remember fondly. Thank you

Croatian retreat

Beautiful, well designed, large villa with excellent facilities to amuse all ages. The owners are really helpful, tasty homegrown vegetables to use, you do need a car but local area has sites to see and Split not too far. We were a large party with four families and three generations and all said one of the best places they have stayed.
