Holiday rentals near Alpirsbach Abbey

The VRBO advertisement describes the apartment 'Beautiful and cozy house in the middle of nature' which is a perfect description. The apartment is huge with two large bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen / diner and a big, comfortable lounge area. Thankfully, the TV has only German channels so most UK guests are forced to enjoy their evenings reading, playing cards, going for walks and generally doing 'stuff' without being distracted by 'the box'. Outside there are three seating options so guests can choose to sit in the sunshine or in shade, as they wish. Within about an hours drive are places such as Freibury, Konstanz and Triberg. In short ...... it was absolutely lovely and, for us, ideal.

A spacious, clean house with lots of modern fixtures and fittings and very comfortable beds. Located outside Freudenstadt in a small village with an excellent bakery and pizzeria (and a great natural swimming pool 4 km away) - a great base from which to explore the Schwarzwald. Communication with the owner was easy and responses to any queries were swift. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for a week in early July and had a fantastic holiday. Hans and Anna are perfect hosts, cheerful, friendly and very welcoming, and and their garden apartment that we stayed in was immaculate and fully equipped with everything that anyone would ever need. The apartment is in a beautiful village with a bakery, bank, several good places to eat and drink and a supermarket. We had a busy week filled with lots of fun and interesting things to do and most of them within a few km where we were staying. I'd recommend staying here in a heartbeat, it's a beautiful location with friendly people and plenty to do for both kids and adults. Thank you Hans and Anna for a lovely holiday.

We were a family of 4 with 2 boys aged 12 and 15. Siegfried and Claudia were very helpful and accommodating, and the house is lovely. Everything was perfectly clean and modern, and plenty of basic essentials when we arrived like detergent, sugar etc. There are shops in St. Georgen which is only a few minutes drive away. There are several walks into the forest directly from the house, so we didn't have to drive to start exploring the area. There is a stream running beside the house which provided lots of entertainment for our boys. The house is conveniently located for driving to Europa Park, France (Strasbourg) and Switzerland (Stein am Rhein) all of which are highly recommended if you want to keep everyone entertained! The giant couch, flat screen TV and Apple TV was fantastic for the evenings where we could relax together after a day hiking etc. This was an ideal way for us to explore the Black Forest, thanks Siegfried and Claudia!
