Holiday rentals near Charámi

This is a beautiful compact stone cottage with a lovely pool.It stands amongst olive trees in a quiet location in a lovely friendly village called Magazia in the middle of this small beautiful island so everywhere is easily accessible. The hosts and staff were really helpful kind and pleasant. The towels and bedding were changed every few days. Checking in and out was very easy. I would stay here again in a hesrtbeat. The worst day I had was the day I was leaving!!

Villa Despina was a delightful place to stay for a week. The central villa of the group of three, all are well positioned above the clear waters of Glioni(?) beach. The coastal road runs between the beach and the three houses, two of which are owned and rented by Spiros and one is owned and rented by his cousin. The two to the north are identical in size and layout, and smaller than the larger villa to the south. The villa is clean, simple, comfortable - and the air conditioning worked very well. Spiros is extremly hospitable and welcoming without being intrusive. Sheets changed twice in the week, and the pool maintained and cleaned. The wi-fi is a bit slow, but that is to be expected. The views from the villa over to Parga on the mainland to the east are magnificent, particularly just after sunrise. We rented a car, drove to Gaios, Magazia, and Loggos for lunch and supper; we also rented a motor boat which we enjoyed enormously. The coastal road is not too busy: its quiet in the morning, but there is traffic from 8am-7pm. We love Paxos and would certainly consider returning.

The best property we have stayed in, location, cleanliness, the pool, facilities were perfect. We were only a couple but the place is perfect for 2 small families. Everything you need is close by, we hired a car as well to see the rest of the island which was worth it. What a relaxing holiday for my husband and I on our baby moon.

Absolutely beautiful views from the villa! Loved the outdoor space and Gaios is a beautiful town. Loved to go down and just sit looking out over the water while having a drink. We had this trip booked 5 years ago and due to COVID had to cancel. Andreas is a wonderful host who recommended great places to eat and things to do. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely spacious accommodation (we were just 2 people). Bedroom is on the lower floor making it cooler, together with the (two!) bathrooms. Good water pressure in the showers, quiet air con, efficient wifi. Location is lovely. There's a little rugged footpath next to the property which takes you down to the beach by the Harami bar (excellent food), from where you can walk along the waterfront to town - a pretty walk but does require flat shoes and a bit of scrambling. You will need to arrive with your luggage by vehicle as the road to the property is too rough to wheel cases along. Pool is lovely - mostly very shallow with a small deep area at one end. Infinity edge is a little sharp to rest your arms on, but resting there to admire the view is a must! Delightful, very cheerful and entertaining host who also has a business in the town.

Absolutely the place to chill out. Close to all amenities but a car is recommended. The landlord is an amazing person. He runs family owned restaurant in Lakka, Nionios which we thoroughly enjoyed. The villa is immaculate and private and we hope to return next year.

Beautiful home! The house, garden and outdoor landscaping are exquisite along with the pool and outside kitchen! The view with the sunset is the topping on the cake! The owner was very helpful, responsive and thoughtful. I would thoroughly recommend this location for relaxing and enjoying the island… and not to forget it is just a walk to a magnificent beach, Erimitis.

We enjoyed our stay in Maggie’s house very much. It seemed typical of what local people normally live in and not a homogenised tourist offering. As such, kitchen and bathroom facilities were functional rather than slavishly fashionable. The very large living room was charmingly furnished. There were lovely beamed ceilings with tongue and groove boarding in most of the rooms. Casa di Nonna Nina was homely and welcoming as a place to come back to and relax after a busy day enjoying what Paxos has to offer. The house was well suited to the hot weather as its orientation, shading and solid walls kept us cool (not too cool) and so there was no need for aircon. Maggie was an excellent host. She made us very welcome and was a great source of information about Paxos, things to do, where to shop, who to contact and how to go about arranging things. She even introduced herself to us at Corfu airport when we arrived at approximately the same time from different directions. Maggie’s daughter was also helpful. Maggie’s place is located in Vellianitatika, a quiet village located about 1.5km from Gaios. It only takes about 20 minutes to walk to Gaios and there is a pleasant path that can be used as an alternative to the road most of the way. Vellianitatika is also only 500 metres from the west coast where there are lots of pleasant walks e.g. to Trypitos Arch, Lessiantis Windmill and Avlaki beach. We particularly enjoyed snorkelling round the rocks at the sea end of the Avlaki beach inlet. There is a bus stop conveniently located near Vellianitatika and so Lakka and Loggos, as well as all places between, are easy to get to without the need for a car.
