We enjoyed our stay not only at the house but also in the area. Many nice places and excellent food. We will come back next year

The villa looks great in the pictures but it’s even better in person.Beautiful inside and out. The pool area is great, and the covered outdoor dining space it beautiful. One of the best villas we’ve ever stayed in and the villa owners/ managers on hand were great. Location is good for the town (although the town is limited) but the views gardens and isolation of the villa is great. Would 100% stay here again

This modern villa is spotlessly clean throughout with panoramic views in every direction. Even from inside the Villa the view through the windows changes each day like a living painting. It’s spectacular. The grounds are completely enclosed and child friendly with plenty of space for kids to play and adults to chill. The gardens are very well maintained and watered, if you’re from the UK think of a national trust garden with Mediterranean plants. It is also very well lit in the evenings with the BBQ dining area overlooking the top half of Crete (not exaggerating) being one of the gardens hi-lights.The Villa feels secluded in it’s own hillside setting but is at most a 7 minute drive back down to shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. So on those sweltering afternoons where the heat of the coast is getting too much, in 10 minutes you can be in your own gorgeous pool with a mountain breeze. Perfect!Eleni deserves her own 5* review but I’m running out of space! A flawless host who is kind, caring, quick to respond to any messages and super friendly. Thank you Eleni! There are no downsides, the beds are comfy, the pool is sparkling, the garden is stunning, the water pressure is great, the wifi is fast, I could go on and on.Stop searching now and book this place, you wont regret it and you’ll never want to leave.Thank you so much! A lovely villa with excellent facilities. The downstairs living, dining & kitchen area is very spacious. Kitchen well equipped. The outside areas are vast , including a BBQ area, which we used several times and a pizza oven which we did not try. The swimming pool is lovely, possibly one of the nicest pools we have had. The pool and housekeeping was every few days which was ideal. Any issues were promptly responded to by George and usually sorted out by his wonderful father. Checking in and out was an easy process, we were met both on arrival and departure by George’s father. On arrival there was a bowl of fruit, water in fridge and some Raki! As a parting gift we were given some cheese which I believe was produced by the family. Overall a very relaxing holiday, the villa was just outside the local town which meant we had lots of privacy. There is also a small flat at the base of the house which comes with the villa, ideal for grandparents etc. Local town was a little over 10 minutes walk with cafes, tavernas and super markets. Lots of other tavernas within 15 minute driving range. At some point we will return to Crete and would certainly stay here again.

Villa Daphne had everything we needed, it was immaculately clean, very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Our host Eleni was welcoming and very kind. There were lots of additional things that made for an extremely comfortable stay; from plenty of dishwasher tablets, clean tea towels and table cloths, pool/beach towels, a 1st aid kit (fortunately not used), to shower gel/shampoo and conditioner. There was also a selection of food provided, Raki to drink and the kitchen had a wide range of appliances. The little pool, sun beds and views of the sea were also a bonus!

I have travelled around Europe regularly for the last 8 years and stayed in many apartments and this was by far the best! I came to stay here for five days in early March, it's a beautiful old town and the apartment is right in the centre. 5 minute walk to the beach, great shops and lots of places to eat. I am a female solo traveller and felt very safe in the town and people were helpful and friendly. I also knew I could contact Effie if I had any issues and she would have helped me out! Effie came to meet me to let me in and showed me around. She recommended so many brilliant places across the island, to walk, to eat, to swim! These are places I wouldn't have found on websites or under my own steam. There was some food for me to cook as I had arrived around lunch time with the best olive oil made by Effie. There was a lovely bottle of wine from her vine yard and some raki to try, as well as fruit and a few snacks. The apartment is stunning, well equipped with anything and everything you could possibly need. Effie would keep in touch, she advised when there was a celebration happening in the town which was amazing fun. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, thank you for a beautiful stay.

We had a great stay! The villa is beautifully decorated, very clean & homely. It is nicely located in the middle of the village, so very easy to pop in & get supplies but also very quiet & private. The hosts are very attentive & helpful! The homemade goodies are delicious thank you! It is easy to drive or catch a bus into the main town. The house is fully kitted out with everything needed. My only suggestion would be for more storage in the bedrooms for clothes.
