Holiday rentals near Sarakíniko Beach

What a wonderful villa, fully equipped to ensure a stress free stay. The location was perfect for us as we didn’t want to hire a car. There were ample restaurants to choose from during our week stay. All within easy walking distance of the villa.A fabulous stay and we hope to return soon.

We had an amazing weeks staying at Villa Thalassini at the end of October. The villa is exactly as it appears in the marketing photographs... Its spotlessly clean and the views are breathtaking!!! There is a lovely little pebble beach down the bottom of the hill where the sea is crystal clear and perfect for snorkeling along the rocky coastline. Agia Efimia is a beautiful little village with a supermarket, butcher, baker, harbour and some lovely little tavernas... We found quite a few had closed as it was end of season but the ones that remained open were all very welcoming. The villa has a well equipped BBQ area among beautiful flora so we really enjoyed sitting out there and feasting on local meats, salads and wine in the evening. Panos and Amalia are wonderful hosts... always on hand with helpful tips about the island and places to visit or eat... They offered to change our bed linen mid week... and when we got a puncture on our rental car Panos was so helpful calling local garages for us... He even brought us a home made cake! We were really sad to leave Villa Thalassini and will definitely return.

Great apartment! Hosts were lovely and kind and would help you with anything you needed. The apartment is in walking distance of restaurants, beaches and bars so ideal if you dont have any transport. 10/10 stay.

We loved our stay at Garden Villas. Our hosts were very welcoming and couldn’t be more helpful. Villa was clean and well equipped - towels and bedding changed frequently during our stay, bins emptied daily. Fabulous views from the balconies. Quiet location but only a few minutes to the harbour with a choice of bars and restaurants. Agia Effimia is a great location for getting around the island and isn’t too busy. We couldn’t fault anything and wished we could have stayed longer. Am sure we will return.

Had two fantastic weeks here. So peaceful and relaxing and amazing views. Central on the island for sightseeing. Easy to get to see everything in two weeks from here and still have some downtime. Agia Effimia is a lovely little town with enough places to eat and two or three bars for a quiet drink, but not spoilt by tourism. We walked into town several times from the villa. It is perfectly doable, but does depend on your level of fitness. It is actually 2km by road down to the town, but not so far in a straight line, so the views are great. But it is a very steep hill and could be tricky in the heat of the day. We were happy to drive down sometimes and walk also. The hill was really no bother to us, the location was perfect. But if you are looking for somewhere that you can walk back to after some drinks with a meal at night then you probably need one a bit closer to the town. It all depends what your priorities are for your holiday. If you want to relax, unwind, enjoy the views and the tranquility in a comfortable villa where you are private and well looked after, then this is the one. It is lovely and clean with fresh bedding and towels several times throughout our stay. It was just what we were looking for and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Absolutely loved our stay at this amazing villa, the views were spectacular. The villa had everything you needed and the hosts, Amalia and Dimitris was extremely helpful from checkin until leaving. We have stayed in many villas in many different countries and they were by far the most helpful hosts . Loved it !

This beautiful villa is the perfect place to get away from it all! Set up on a hill the views are spectacular, so relaxing to sit watching the boats come in while listening to birdsong or the tinkling of goats and sheep bells. Really enjoyed the pool area too, again, lovely views! The villa is kept spotlessly clean and the hosts Nigel and Dianne are really welcoming, accommodating and helpful. The resort has everything you need for a restful holiday, tavernas, (lovely food) supermarkets and some gift shops too. There is a steep drive up to the villa so a car would be needed but it’s only a few minutes and well worth it for the views! We visited Sami and the underground lake in the caves, Mytos beach (Alessandro’s at the top did a fabulous lunch and so reasonable), Fiskardo and Argosttoli. Fantastic places with such history. We’d definitely go back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
