Black River houses

We stayed in this gorgeous villa in June. Everything about it oozed cool, Caribbean luxury. All rooms were cool and well appointed, and the two master bedrooms had stunning views over the balcony to the pool and the sea. The food at the villa was first class, with Petrena and Ocean cooking up a storm with wonderful Jamaican dishes, accompanied by the best rum punch! We were made to feel very welcome by the girls, Malcolm and Janio. We also had a memorable day out with Malcom and Janio who took us up the Black River and to the Pelican Bar. We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived and that nothing was too much trouble to ask for. We cannot recommend this villa too highly and definitely plan to return in the future.

Villa Hikaru is an amazing property in a stunning location. The staff - Venesia, Elisha, and Patrick - are warm, welcoming, and super helpful. As well as the beautifully appointed rooms, the lush gardens - home to many birds - offer many lovely nooks where you can sit or lie. Then there is the swimming pool, the tennis courts, the boule pitch, and easy access to a secluded beach. It’s bliss.

We stayed at the villa for 3 nights and hosted out wedding there. Our guests are still talking about how exquisite the location was. The team were wonderful in supporting us through the wedding, even when vendors cancelled last minute and ensuring that we had a pleasant and relaxing stay on the days before and after the wedding.
