Impressed. Ideal for a quiet stay. Small village no immediate facilities but approx 1 mile outside Gretna for shops.Adequately furnished. Good quality excellent value. Owner brilliant, nothing he won't do for you.Highly recommend staying here. If your looking for nightlife this might not be the place to stay.

We had the most wonderful stay at Bonshaw Grange - Riverside Country Retreat to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. From the moment we arrived, John and Dan went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. They had thoughtfully decorated the house for the occasion, which was such a lovely touch. The retreat itself is absolutely stunning—spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was a huge hit and the perfect way to unwind while soaking in the peaceful surroundings. John and Dan were exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and always available if we needed anything. They truly made us feel at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special milestone and would highly recommend Bonshaw Grange to anyone looking for a beautiful countryside escape. We’ll definitely be back!

What a delightful cottage in a stunning setting by the river. Absolutely loved waking up and going to sleep to the sound of the water streaming by. The cottage was spotlessly clean and superbly well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing week. Lovely walks from the door and even more within short drives away. Will be coming back for sure.

A neat cottage, very well equipped, clean and bright.. Everything works and is just as it should be. The owner is very helpful aand easily contactable. I much enjoyed my fortnight, couldn't be better.
