Holiday rentals near Kells Heritage Centre

The wood burner adds to the welcoming appeal of the bolt hole, which provided comfortably accommodation for my wife and I, along with our Irish Water Spaniels. This was our second visit to Durhamstown Castle and we'd certainly stay again.

My family and I booked this property due mainly to its location, availability and the accommodation available. Our experience however was so much more. From the fabulous welcome tea provided by Grainne to the enchanting house martins and other creatures that visited the beautiful gardens . We were blessed with glorious weather and able to make full use of the gardens and various relaxing spots around it. It was a little oasis away from the busyness of Dublin apx 1 hour away. A perfect retreat at the end of fun filled days. The house has a lovely warm atmosphere and feels very welcoming. We enjoyed cooking together in the large open plan kitchen and being musical took advantage of the perfectly tuned piano and the little stage.....we had a great time. Loved everything about it. Highly recommend.

Bright airy rooms. Lovely house. Great hosts very helpful. Short walk to Trim a lovely town. Breakfasts top notch. Definitely be staying again next time we are over in Ireland

It is an amazing place to relax. We enjoyed every bit of it, the property as much as the surroundings. It has all you need to spend a lovely time. We highly recommend it and we look forward to come back.

'Connells House' was the perfect base for our family get together. Lots of sociable space for the 7 of us to relax in. Very well equipped house, with lots of extra touches .............. luxurious toiletries, and extra 'bits n bobs', spices and kitchen condiments etc. Lovely, friendly and informative welcome from Karla, plenty of local info/maps in the house too. Dulleek was an ideal base for some family tree exploration in the local area. Lovely village for a walk around and friendly greeting from staff & locals in 'The Grayhound' pub. Connells House is a much loved, real jem of a property! A credit to Karla and those that were involved in the restoration project to save such a beautiful property. Can wholeheartedly recommend. I would recommend this place for any group parties or just a quiet break. Fabulous
