Nirasca holiday lettings

We loved our stay in this fantastic villa. The views are incredible and the house is well equipped and comfortable. Just worth noting there is no washing machine and you need to bring your own pool towels. There is a drive to shops etc, but so worth it for the peaceful rural location! Beware of some biting midgies- mosquito nets are provided- but apart from that not many bugs. We would love to come back!

Fantastic 5* Five Star apartment, recently renovated with lovely bathroom, living area with large sofa and 2 double bedrooms. Balcony has amazing mountain and village views - it is really nice to sit and eat outside under the parasol or relax and sunbathe on the loungers. Unique property in unique location! Experience Italian mountain village life! Lots of walking (you have to walk 200m up to the apartment because the road is too steep and narrow for a car - unless you drive a scooter or a Piaggio 3 wheeler!) and also lots of steps inside to get up to the apartment and 3 or 4 steps between rooms (so certainly not suitable for wheelchairs or prams) - but it all adds to the character - and what a view when you get there - it makes the effort so worthwhile every time! Ample safe parking on the very wide road immediately outside the entrance to the village. Very tranquil village location - you have the choice to either explore the mountains (most peaceful and relaxing - no mass tourism here!) - either by car, on foot or by bicycle OR you can choose go and enjoy the beach as it is only 40 minutes drive to reach the Mediterranean Sea and 75 minutes drive to the French border (Riviera). Excellent communication with the owners who kindly arranged for their son to pick up our bags in their Piaggio on both our arrival and departure. TIP - don`t always trust your Sat Nav! The roads approaching Andagna from the North over the mountains are not for the faint hearted!! They are very narrow, windy Italian roads with limited passing places, overgrown at the sides and extremely slow going - not uncommon to add an extra hour onto your sat nav`s predicted journey time - it is certainly worth experiencing once (if you like the idea - but unadvisable if you are in a camper van, etc.!); the best road to access Andagna is coming up from the south (the coast), up the SP548 from Taggia and through Badalucco. All in all a very special place to stay which has left us with some very nice memories - many thanks for a very enjoyable stay!!
