Holiday rentals near Spiaggia di Santa Caterina

A very nice house - I think I could imagine us living in a house like that - in a quiet location - well furnished - probably the best equipped kitchen we have ever had. Paolo and Christina were very friendly and helpful - they don't speak English and our Italian is limited - email communication before arrival was fine and upon arrival we managed to communicate what was necessary. Putzu Idu is very quiet but there are some good restaurants around: we had a good meal at "Stella Del Mare" (but later we were disappointed by the pizza) "Trattoria Maestrale" is a good seafood restaurant with a nice location looking out to sea (when we were there it was open for lunch all week but dinner was only available Saturday & Sunday - so we didn't get a sunset dinner) "Entu i Sole" has a nice vibe is good for seafood and has more non-seafood options than the others. Best pizza we had was at the "Bar Ristorante Lepori" in Mandriola (at the far end of Pitzu Idu beach)

My family and I had a wonderful holiday at Maria Theresa’s amazing home. The house has a wonderful position overlooking the sea and is full of thoughtful touches inside and outside that make it a real pleasure to stay in. This was our first visit to Sardinia and we loved exploring all the local sights from the Sinis Penisula up to Bosa, but nothing beat our morning swim with the fishes in the cove opposite. Maria Theresa was a charming and informative owner who helped making the booking as easy as possible.

We have just returned from a fantastic 11 nights at this wonderful property. The house has everything you need and feels so comfortable. The garden is beautiful and ideal to enjoy day or night. The location is so close to some amazing beaches, a brilliant holiday! We loved Putzu Idu, Sa Mesa Longa, Mari Ermi and Roca Tunda. Don't forget to try out the baker's in Riola too!

Milis is a lovely village that’s no more than 20 mins to some amazing beaches. On our last day we found the best one to be the south end of Spiaggia Is Arruttas, crystal clear turquoise waters with its white quartz beach. The weather was so hot we didn’t do much else than stay on the beach with the onshore breeze but we did venture across to the east side one day, it took 1.5hrs through Sardinia’s mountainous vistas, stunning. We’d come back to explore in cooler climes. We also went to Bosa and the castle ruins, pretty town. The property is a lovely, airy, light and spacious place and had all we needed. The beds were comfortable too. Not sure if the house had air conditioning, we assumed not as it wasn’t obvious, we really could have done with it at night as it was so hot. What we would have found helpful was a folder with information relating to the property, ie where to find the fuse box key, if there is air con - instructions, emergency numbers etc and a village map pointing out where all the shops and amenities are. Christine was everso helpful with directions and with the odd problem that arose at the house and even more so the delightful elderly neighbours who were so so willing to help you too. This was our first visit to Sardinia (July 2018) and we’ll definitely plan to come back when it’s a cooler time of year so we can explore more of what this beautiful varied island has to offer. We had a great long weekend break, enjoying the quiet tucked away location of this home (whilst short drive away to lovely beaches) and the luxury touches ... great aircon, showers, mattresses. Fantastic
