The apartment is small but functional. Has air conditioner which is a must because the weather is really hot. It is in the center, 5-10 mins by walk from Palermo center train station. The Cathedral is about 10 mins by walk and the harbour is closer. The apartment is really quiet at night and the house has elevator. The apartment is fully equipped for a stay. Thank you!
My wife and I spent 5 nights in Palermo and stayed at this charming apartment. From the moment we decided to book, our host Chiara was helpful, polite, and accommodating. We altered our booking, asked questions, sought advice about the city, and each time Chiara showed patience and professionalism. It is fair to say that Palermo might not be everyone’s cup of tea, however, we simply fell in love with the city and had a truly wonderful break. A large part of this was due to the location, comfort, and cleanliness of Chiara’s apartment. It is so handy for all the main attractions, whilst still feeling like a quiet residential retreat. It has a homely warmth and lets you feel relaxed and comfortable after a day of sightseeing or a night sampling Palermo’s amazing food and nightlife. In summary, if you are considering visiting Palermo, don’t think twice. If you do visit, don’t stay anywhere else, this place is perfect.
The area itself was maybe a little "scruffy", but the apartment itself was in a relatively modern block. Location wise it was perfect : 500m to train, bus station and tramway. Initial impression : clean and tidy public entrance with good locking and code for entrance. Clean lifts up to our 4th floor.Again, good locks and security on our apartment door.
Despite the location, noise was NOT a problem. Apartment went beyond what we could have hoped for. Well equipped kitchen, right down to pots and pans! Even tea and coffee was there. Good sized TV, but very little in english! Comfortable sitting area. Bathroom immaculate, with provision of assorted toiletries (maybe left by previous tenants?) Only possible minus, was the quality of the towels provided. They were maybe a little threadbare, but certainly clean. On the plus side, so many little thoughtful extras - down to an unopened pack of plasters, extra pillows, spare light bulbs, ample washing up liquid and cleaning products. And of all things, an umbrella by the door!
Lots and lots of traffic outside, but it simply wasn't a problem. Spent ages just looking out of the window watching the (at times) crazy driving, and even more crazy parking! And cross the road at your peril. Pedestrian crossings don't seem to have the same respect as they do in UK. Food : McD's at station, 3 mins away, & a couple of other restaurants - mediocre. HOWEVER, we finally managed to get in to eat at AL SORRISO, nearby. GO THERE if you can get in.
We could not have asked for a more beautiful apartment in the heart of Palermo. We enjoyed every minute staying here. The apartment was extremely roomy, with many rooms, including three large bedrooms, a great kitchen, an excellent living room, and some amazing views of the sea! Not only that, but there is a balcony which leads to an unbelievably large private rooftop terrace. We had a new year's eve barbecue on the terrace and it was an experience that we will never forget. The apartment is easy walking distance from the main tourist areas of Palermo and many restaurants. It is such a convenient location! If you wish to rent a car, then it is possible to obtain a parking spot and the correct permit. The property manager, Giovanni, was extremely helpful and responsive. He answered all of our questions quickly and he made absolutely sure that we had everything we needed. He also had many suggestions for what to do in Palermo. We couldn't have asked for a better host. If you're in Palermo with a family, this apartment will make you very happy.
Location is excellent, in the old town in walking distance to all the sights. Communication with the owner was swift and efficient. The apartment has everything you need to self cater and is a very comfortable home away from home. The rooms are large and well decorated. The apartment is on the 1st floor (no lift) overlooking a lovely garden, which is locked overnight. The balcony overlooks the garden, ideal for sipping wine al fresco! Thank you Brigitte, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend your lovely apartment!
