Convenient. well located, and well managed.

We had a fantastic stay at this property in Kyoto. The location is quiet and peaceful but easy access to public transport and the rest of the city. We stayed in 2 of the houses and they were clean and comfortable. Mika (the host) was extremely helpful throughout our stay and even helped us to deal with a problem we had with a restaurant booking. Would definitely recommend 100% Thank you!

We stayed in this gorgeous restored Machiya (tea house) and honestly, there were some days I didn't want to go out because I felt I was experiencing old Japan simply by sipping tea on the floor and looking out onto the perfectly manicured garden listening to the water drops. The location in Gion was fantastic and quiet; we could walk everywhere in 20 minutes like Nishiki Market, Hanamikoji Street, Shirakawa Street, and Pontocho Alley. 7-11 and Family Mart were 5 minutes walk away and there was so much to explore in the area. Our host Eri was very welcoming and kind, and couldn't do enough for us. She even left us an assortment of ice creams in the freezer! My husband who is 6'2" had to watch his head a bit due to low door frames and he would have liked to stretch out on a long sofa, but the house was perfect for me and my daughters, who incidentally soaked in the garden hot tub every night! I highly recommend staying here for an amazing experience surrounded by beauty.

A total joy to stay here. Brilliant location, it was so easy to travel around Kyoto. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and we loved all the extras like Samurai Jim and the wedding kimono. Thank you

This place is amazing! It was very comfortable. They even left us a handwritten welcome note and some cookies as a treat when we checked in which was very nice and very much appreciated. The apartment is very stylish and has a relaxing feel. There is a small garden area that you can see from 2 tatami bedrooms and one of the bathrooms for soaking your tired feet after walking through Kyoto all day. We also checked out Sake Cube a few minutes away it was a really fun place! Also good bakeries nearby. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would love to stay again one day!

Wonderful traditional Japanese house in great location. Very quiet but for those who don't like bright bedrooms bring an eye mask! Like most Japanese houses there are no black out blinds.
