Holiday rentals near Spa Gouda

The property is beautifully located on the edge of a small water way, with direct access Trek Gatern which is a nature reserve and very beautiful, full of bird life and water lilies in bloom. We took our Canadian canoe and this is a perfect area to explore-we even saw a beaver! There is a rowing boat available for use on site.The garden is thoughtfully laid for maximum privacy and relaxation.We received a very warm welcome from the hosts and had everything we needed in the property for our stay. Would recommend wholeheartedly, especially to those with a canoe or kayak. Many thanks.

describing the accommodation as cozy is a gross understatement for the chalet is spacious and modern. It has been refurbished to a high standard. We have enjoyed staying there - our host was very friendly and welcoming and was full of care and did her upmost to help us settle in.The town has great charm and we would recommend it for a visit.

Absolutely fantastic property. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. The garden is lovely and has a trampoline which our son enjoyed. Beds very comfy. Lots of room for our family of 5. We will definitely return.

We had a really relaxing time here. The cottage is small but that suited us, and the view across the fields filled with all kind of wildlife was superb (not forgetting the chickens next to us and the three walking ducks!). And the huge windmill next to the canal is something to behold. Hans, the host, was really welcoming and helpful and if you want to lean more about the windmill then Google 'Vrouwgeest windmill' and learn how it has been in his family since 1797. The cottage we stayed in was built by Hans from a Dutch hay storage building with a roof that would have been raised and lowered (thus the poles and the pulleys). And as for Holland – glorious. The Dutch are so friendly and speak better English than many Brits I know, and Gouda and the cheese experience is recommended. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and really didn’t want to leave. Jan and Oskar were wonderful hosts. The flat is amazing, as advertised. Very helpful. Very central to tour the Netherlands. No complaints and would definitely recommend. Dank je wel!
