Holiday rentals near Ascent

The drive in to the park was incredible, we were coming in at the beginning of winter so were a bit worried about snow and ice but drove carefully. When we arrived to say we were blown away by the peace and tranquility would be an understatement. The view every day of the dome/valley and hills are incredible! The house is so cosy warm even with -8 degrees outside. The hosts have been nothing but incredible. There was a local power outage for a few hours that we required a bit of help from Hayley and Lynda and they were so attentive and helpful with an issue that wasn’t anything to do with them. Definitely hire a car and not a mustang in winter like we did. Made for a few scary moments. Get a 4 wheel drive truck as if the park put a r1 chain notice up you may still be ok to drive. All in all don’t hesitate on booking this place. The peace is perfect and your just far enough to be away from the hustle of the village for a relax in the evening.

Great cabin in an excellent location for exploring Yosemite. Cabin matched the description as listed and had everything we needed for our stay. Foresta creek and waterfall an easy walk from the cabin. Easy communication with the owner.

The cabin is very well secluded and there are several outside seating areas to enjoy the wildlife and scenery. The cabin itself is perfect. The kitchen area had everything we needed for our stay and the living area is extreemly comfortable. There is a large bedroom with the most comfortable bed, and a large bathroom. The entire cabin was perfectly clean, home form home. We BBQd every night and sat outside until it became dark. The cabin location was perfect for us with onle an 8 minute drive to go to Mariposa.

We loved the property; the location, setting and pool were amazing! What a chance to see Yosemite from a super property!

Absolutely wonderful property in a great location. Property has everything you could need to be comfortable during your stay in Yosemite. 20-30 min drive to all of the main sites of interest within the park. Hosts are fantastic.

Our family enjoyed every minute of our stay. The property is spacious and very well appointed and equipped. Holly and Jeff are excellent hosts, super responsive, friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend Royal Retreat to anyone planning a stay in Yosemite.

We stayed in August for 4 nights. The lodge is fantastic. Tucked away inside Yosemite Park less than 30 minutes from the Yosemite Valley and very close to the road up to Glacier Point. Yosemite is breathtaking and it was a real pleasure to come back to this lodge at the end of each day. It's designed and furnished to a very high standard. Lots of space and stunning vaulted ceilings. The only thing that would make it even better would be access to a washing machine - otherwise perfect.

All 5 of us had a great time at the lodge, we used the BBQ and ate on the terrace. I'd recommend taking to road upto Glacier point (2 mins from the lodge) and choosing the panaramic walk (we spotted a bear walking across the road - best to keep the speed down). David was very helpful indeed and left us alone with his mobile number.
