Holiday rentals near Hobby Garden Hawaii

A beautiful, well-maintained house that feels like it's in the middle of a rainforest, but is still easily accessible by car. The open-floor plan of the main living area + kitchen invites guests to spend time together, but the three main bedrooms provide sufficient privacy. Everything around the house is in good working working order, which shows how much the owners care about the property. The garden is absolutely magnificent! This was one of our favorite places in Hawaii - we had a great time and would love to come back again for a longer stay.

3 friends stayed in a 3 bedroom house. The house is ultra clean, the beds are super comfy. The swimming pool is stunning! The house is beautiful too! Fantastic kitchen and gorgeous bathrooms! There is a but … the pool is very detached from the house. This is because the main and only stairs are outside the front of the house, the pool is out the back. It’s a long way to walk to the pool. The lanai is on the 1st floor (not on the ground floor) and overlooks that beautiful pool. But it is very detached from it. (ideally a staircase needs to go from the lanai down to the pool) The 3rd bedroom on the ground floor, again is quite detached from the house because of the outside staircase. I like the front staircase, but … ideally you need 2 more stairs, one inside the house and one from the lanai to that lovely pool. The gardens are lovely, the planting around the pool is beautifully colourful. The noise of the frogs at night is mental! After a couple of days it fades into the background. We had a marvellous stay - thankyou! I didn’t realise that Hilo and it’s surrounds are so tropical.

Big house with lots of nice seating areas and space. Amazing variety of fruit to see growing in the garden. Plenty to keep you entertained. Fans were ample for our visit in May. Can get down to the coast from the house and there are restaurants and shops a short drive away. Howard was on hand (as lives next door) in case we needed anything. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay and the view was amazing, the house was well equipped and easy to get to from Hilo a nice place to have as a base whilst visiting the Big Island. We did find the lack of AC a bit tough in the day , but in the evening the sea breeze was very pleasant and the deck area was a great favourite to sit and chill and read a book.
