Basilicata villas

We really enjoyed our stay and couldn't fault it. The property was well equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. Angela was very friendly and provided us with good suggestions of where to visit and where to eat. We travelled to many of the villages and towns she recommended and loved Basilicata. A car is necessary if you want to enjoy all that is on offer. We hope to stay again sometime in the not too distant future as there is much we would still like to see and places we would like to return to.

Clean and comfortable, with good provision for self catering. We had temperatures well over 30 degrees every day but the house was cool and there are lots of lovely shady lounging areas in the garden. The views of the olive groves are beautiful and we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, watching the sunset from our upstairs terrace and the sky at night. The roads are quiet, the nearest shops and small town is a short drive away and there are lots of hill towns to explore. There are lots of long sandy beaches within easy reach. Matera is a 45 minute drive away. Great base for exploring Basilicata.

Wonderful place in a great location. The view across the infinity pool down to the sea is breathtaking. The house is big and well equipped. Lovely touches and well looked after. The Maratea coast is one of the most beautiful ones in Italy. We would definitely visit again.

A wonderfully clean villa with everything required for a self catering holiday. A real home from home. The view from the extensive terrace overlooking the sea and the mountains was splendid. Mirella is the best host we have had with plenty of information before leaving the UK and continued hints during our stay. A good command of English was a bonus Judith, Roger, Diana and Bob

We have had a lovely holiday in this property in Pisticci. The property itself is very private. The house is spacious with plenty of facilities eg billiard table, tennis court, pool which were very enjoyable. The outdoor areas were also lovely. The fruit trees had a lot of ripe fruit which was a bonus. The house has clearly been a home. We had some issues with the electrics but Tomassio was very helpful and organised an electrician. Despite this the fuse did continue to blow when using the dishwasher. The pool was quite dirty when we arrived. It would have been nice if it had been checked and sorted out before our arrival. It would be helpful to have more accurate directions in advance such as a postcode/reference as we did have some difficulty finding the house. I also think that the beds should be made up for guests. After a long journey it was disappointing to find a set of sheets on the beds, rather than beds which are ready and made up. This would have been more welcoming. I would also recommend an information pack to help find local facilities such as groceries, beaches and restaurants.
