A beautiful hilltop Tuscan villa which has been tastefully restored to an excellent standard . The accommodation is superb with an exceptionally well appointed kitchen . The location is well placed for exploring the beautiful area of northern Tuscany . In addition to Palaia , the closest town we explored , Lucca , San Gimignano, Lajatico and others. The hosts Roberto and Gioia were excellent, friendly and welcoming. Definitely one to visit again .
A beautiful stay with stunning views, fantastic weather, and the kindest hosts.

We had such a lovely stay here. From the moment we arrived, the owners were incredibly kind and thoughtful. They made us feel so welcome and were always on hand if we needed anything, which really took the stress out of things and let us properly switch off.The house had everything we needed – comfortable, well looked after, and full of little touches that made a difference. And the views… wow. Every morning we’d sit outside with a coffee and just take it all in – rolling hills, vineyards, that golden Tuscan light. It was genuinely breathtaking. We were lucky with the weather too – sunshine every day – and we made the most of it, visiting nearby towns, relaxing in the garden, and eating far too much. The hosts restaurant recommendations were absolutely spot on. Every place we tried was delicious, full of character, and exactly the kind of local gems we were hoping for.It was the kind of holiday that leaves you feeling lighter and happier – couldn’t recommend it more - we just needed an extra week there!
We enjoyed an amazing week at Casa Buriano for a family holiday. The property is clean, traditional Tuscan decor with plenty of space and all that was needed to enjoy the week. Pool is perfect and peaceful and no issue with sharing with the neighbouring guests. The location is rural, private and set within olive groves but easy distance by car to local shops and for seeing all the well known sites (Florence, Lucca, Siena). Giulia was so helpful, very responsive and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend this property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Casina della Rose. Consuelo is a fantastic host, very friendly and responsive and not at all intrusive. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. It was unusually hot (high thirties every day) when we were there, and we were grateful to have the air conditioning and the pool. The drive up the hill to the house is not for the faint hearted and Consuelo kindly offered for us to call her from the bottom of the hill to check that no one else was on their way down.We definitely recommend stopping off at a supermarket on the way from the airport. Consuelo kindly sent us details for the big Esselunga supermarket just by the motorway exit in Pistoia. From there it is around 20-25 minutes to the house.Despite the hot weather, we enjoyed trips to Pistoia, Lucca, Florence and Montecantini.
Fantastic property - everything we needed and more. Great location - loved walking into Monte Carlo in the evenings and trying out the numerous bars and restaurants. Pool was great and the peaceful location a bonus. Also easy driving to Pisa, Florence and Lucca. We had a great family holiday - highly recommend this property. Valente was a great host too.
We stayed for our honeymoon in September 2023.
What a stay it was.
The Vila is stunning, and the views and just spectacular.
We spent many of evening out on the terrace watching the sunset and having a glass of wine. The sunset is such a beautiful background each evening.
We spent a day sunbathing and taking a dip in the plunge pool.
The villa itself is amazing and so well maintained. The bedrooms were amazing and the living room is vast there is so much space.
The local area is great, however we would highly recommend hiring a car. We saw so much of Tuscany and it's beauty.
I highly recommend Casa Leonardo and cannot wait to be back for our anniversary.
The property was set in an idyllic location in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. As a bonus it was only 30 minutes to Florence.
Luckily Tina could speak good English and gave us several good recommendations. We had fun trying to communicate with Franco with our pidgin Italian. They were excellent hosts and the accommodation met with our expectations. We would love to come back and plan to do so in the future.
We spent 10 days at Podere Jana for our wedding, with 30 guests ranging from ages 9-84. Put simply, the property and the whole area is breathtaking and definitely highly recommended. The pictures do not do the property justice at all, we were very pleasantly surprised.
The property itself is spread over 2 buildings, the main house with 7 apartments (spread over 3 floors) each with their own kitchenette and bathroom. There is also a second building with large dining room and games area, kitchen and a another apartment above. This gave our families room to spread out so you had some privacy. We opted for air conditioning which was welcomed!
The communal areas are spacious and the outside bbq area is fantastic for big groups with plenty of seating.
The pool itself is very large, not too cold and there were plenty of sun loungers and chairs for everyone. The hot tub was also a great addition, and very well used by the group!
We had our wedding at the property and it was the most magical setting, we used the services of Special Happenings and Oasi Dolce for the reception dinner who were brilliant.
The staff onsite are a credit to the owners, the cleaner came to site twice a day to ensure communal areas were clean and she is so helpful and friendly. Paola who also lives locally was a great help when we struggled with the language barrier and I was delighted when they came to watch the wedding ceremony, I was so pleased they had come along and they captured some beautiful details.
Every member of our party commented how much better the place is than the listing shows!
Vinci itself is a lovely day out and easy to reach by car. The main attractions in Pisa, Lucca and Florence are all easily accessible by train and there is ample car parking at the station.
There are lots of supermarkets locally and vineyards and restaurants.
One tip, bring insect repellent! The area is beautiful with lots of Olive trees and other greenery (the fig trees are amazing!) but you will need repellent.
Overall a perfect 10 days and I would like to say Thankyou to the owners and on-site staff for making our holiday so special.
