We had a great week in Roberto and Gioia’s villa in Palaia. Nice to have them as your neighbours as they are great hosts! A 1,5 km winding road (first time a bit scary) leads to the villa at the top with great views. Large garden, huge pool and a wonderful patio to spend long evenings. Easy to visit Lucca, San Gimignano and Firenze, all within 1 hour drive. The house is tastefully furnished and the kitchen very complete. The pics show exactly what you get. We can recommend!
Beautiful place to stay with a great pool. House and kitchen are very well equipped. Perfect for a relaxing vacation between wine and olive trees with very nice owners living nearby. Check-in was very easy. Cannot wait to come back! You need a car to get there!
A beautiful hilltop Tuscan villa which has been tastefully restored to an excellent standard . The accommodation is superb with an exceptionally well appointed kitchen . The location is well placed for exploring the beautiful area of northern Tuscany . In addition to Palaia , the closest town we explored , Lucca , San Gimignano, Lajatico and others. The hosts Roberto and Gioia were excellent, friendly and welcoming. Definitely one to visit again .
Great place for families looking for peace and inspiration
We had a truly wonderful stay at Roberto and Gioia’s beautiful holiday home. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by our kind and inspiring hosts. The villa is perfectly located between Florence, Pisa, and Livorno, making it an ideal starting point for daily excursions across Tuscany. The views from the house are simply stunning, and even during the summer heat, there was always a light, refreshing breeze that made our stay very pleasant. The interior of the house is tastefully decorated, and we especially appreciated the fully equipped modern kitchen and the spacious layout – perfect for relaxed family living. Our children especially loved the pool and the large garden, which offered plenty of space to play and unwind. A special highlight was discovering Roberto and Gioia’s passion for winemaking and olive oil production – we were truly impressed by the quality and care behind their products. In our opinion, the villa is a hidden gem for families seeking peace and tranquility in a remote setting, while still enjoying all the thoughtful details that make a holiday truly comfortable. Roberto and Gioia were always helpful, kind, and available, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would love to return and can wholeheartedly recommend this place to others.
