Our mountain home is located one mile outside the city limits of Franklin, NC. You have easy access to our house with paved roads and a concrete driveway. This mountain home has it all, beautiful views of the Great Smoky Mountains and is only minutes away from the most beautiful and entertaining parts of Western Carolina, in a secluded mountain estates community. This is our second home so all bath linens, kitchen appliances, etc are included. All you need to bring is your own food.

Our home can comfortably accommodate two families and sleeps 8 people with three bedrooms, fold out sleeping sofa, three full baths, and two living rooms on multiple levels. Franklin, North Carolina has it all. If you are in to hiking, white water sports, shopping, or just sitting on the deck and soaking up the view, it is here for you. Our home is located within walking distance of the Bartram Trail and only minutes away from numerous waterfall hiking trails throughout the Great Smoky Mountains, where you can view birds, turkeys, rabbits, and deer in the wild. The waterfalls are incredible and the views breathtaking, and can be viewed from several of the most challenging and beautiful golf courses you will ever play on.

Catch your own mountain trout supper either in the local streams or in the many local stocked trout farms. If antiquing intrigues you, then you are in heaven. There are wonderful shops in Cashiers, Highlands, Cherokee and Dillsboro, along with a great indoor, antique mall at the Whistle Stop in Franklin housing, more than 20 Retail Stores, 60,000 square feet of antiques, 17,000 square feet of hand-made crafts in the Artisans and restaurants.

If you are looking for some adventure, you can try guided kayak, canoeing, or tubing, or white water rafting trips on the Nantahala, Chatooga, Ocoee, or Tuskeegee rivers. You can go horseback riding, pan for gold and gems at nearby Gold City, or try your luck at Harrah’s Casino in nearby Cherokee, where Unto These Hills is performed live in their outdoor theatre nightly during the summer. Just 70 miles away is the gem of the western Carolinas, Asheville, where you can visit the beautiful Biltmore Estate and gardens, known widely as America's Castle. Also, numerous eclectic restaurants located through the Franklin area feature wide varieties of cuisine. Walk along the Little Tennessee River on the Greenway and enjoy the peace and beauty of the area, while viewing a multitude of local flora and fauna.
