Looking for a serene getaway in the heart of the Dordogne valley close to Rocamadour,Sarlat and the Gouffre de Padirac, then our charming maison de campagne offers the ideal setting
• Single level living,3 bedrooms
• Pretty private gardens with

• Amenities just 5 minutes drive
away in Souillac or Martel
• Sleeps 6 - incl babes/children.

The Maison de campagne is a lovely three bedroom property arranged over a single level, It offers the modern comforts of home throughout.
Enter into an open,dining and kitchen area with
gas cooker/oven ,fridge /freezer,washing machine dishwasher ,microwave, coffee machine, kettle and toaster and a good selection of crockery and cooking utensils , a round oak table and chairs and a welsh dresser all designed to give a home from home feel.
This leads to the living room
with a sofa and armchairs with tv and a dvd player for those down time moments.

Outside the Maison de campagne has a covered terrace running the length of the house with a picnic table and patio furniture leading down to a patio area with gazebo ,chairs and table and a charcoal bbq perfect for alfresco eating whatever the weather.
The enclosed gated garden offers private off road parking and an enclosed space for children to play safely
Our overground private pool 6m x 4m is available from May to September and can be accessed when you want - whether for an early morning wake up swim or a late evening cool down
From a safety point of view the pool can be made secure for younger children by the removal of the steps.

Idyllic Setting

Great hosts with plenty of useful information right from the start of the booking. The gite had loads of outdoor space witth a well maintained pool. Great for privacy and within easy reach of amenities and a huge tange of visits without having to travel miles. Garden furniture needed some tlc but this did not detract from a wonderful experience. We will definitley return!

Environnement agréable et reposant ... cependant la maison devrait être rénovée : comme son nom l'indique il s'agit d'une maison de campagne.Les propriétaires sont néanmoins adorables et disponibles.

We are an English couple who moved to France in 2004 with our 4 children. We acquired the property in 2009 to complement our other holiday houses We live 25 minutes away but are contactable at all times for any questions
After 18 years we are still enamoured with the area and people and consider it a privilege to be part of such a community.

Why they chose this property

The area is possibly one of the prettiest areas we have visited in France abounding in history and so under developed it is like stepping back in time . You feel instantly relaxed but charmed by the beauty of the area
Our property is ideally situated in the beautiful french countryside but close to all the attractions of the Dordogne valley. We are within half an hour of the areas beautiful towns of Sarlat, Rocamadour, Beynac and Domme, the castles of the Hundred years War and the numerous caves. We are a mere 5 minutes drive from the Dordogne river with all its water sports and cycling paths. Closest amenities are just a 5 minute drive away
Tennis and golf courses all available within 10 minute drive
