Amazing stay

We fell in love with Porto. This property is located close to the old town with amazing views of the river. We would certainly recommend this to anyone.

Breathtaking view of the Douro

This property hovers practically in the clouds above Pinhão at a dramatic bend in the Douro River. The pictures on the web site cannot do it justice. It is so magnificent. There is little close by in terms of restaurants but the wonderful people at the residence will prepare a charcuterie plate and/ or salad that you can take as you watch the sunset. They also have good Douro wine available on site at a reasonable cost. For us this was unbeatable.

Buenas vistas... pero un desastre / Good views... but not worthy

Las fotos muestran cómo es el sitio, tiene unas maravillosas vistas del Duero. Pero lo demás en nuestro caso, fueron sólo problemas: - lo más importante, una averia con el agua que supuso que un día por la mañana nos cortaran el agua sin avisarnos, con lo cual no pudimos disponer de agua y tuvimos que dejar el piso. Y nuestro último día, aunque nos habían avisado de que nos cortarían el agua a las 9:30, los trabajadores llegaron allí a las 9:00 para entrar al piso a trabajar, con lo que tuvimos que correr para marcharnos de allí antes de tiempo y a toda prisa. - no impresión es que todos los pisos de ese edificio están alquilados, con lo que dependes de quien esté en el resto los mismos días que tú. En nuestro caso tuvimos muy mala suerte. Los vecinos de arriba tocaban la guitarra y hacían ruido hasta altas horas de la noche, volvían borrachos y dando gritos a las 4-5 de la madrugada, dando portazos y golpes. - casi siempre alguien se deja abierta la puerta del portal - nos dejaron solo un rollo de papel higiénico y tres toallas (una grande, una mediana y una pequeña), lo que para dos adultos y un niño durante 6 noches es realmente poco - en los armarios de la cocina había cestas y otros objetos con moho verde - la cortina de la ducha y la barra se caen fácilmente - la cama es bastante incómoda - hay un sofá cama en el salón, pero no dejaron ni un juego de sábanas una manta o un algo para utilizarlo. Conclusión: buenas vistas, pero no merece la pena

Great view from the balcony

It was disappointing that the property had not been checked out before our arrival - there were light bulbs which did not work - and that there were no instructions at all, not least on how to flush the toilet. The apartment was fine - simple and basic, but certainly adequate, with a wonderful view from the balcony.
