Family Christmas

A wonderfully spacious and comfortable house in which to spend time with our family at Christmastime. Our Labrador particularly enjoyed the large, secure garden and nearby walks.

Great property and gardens

Loved the house and gardens but some concerns about the cleanliness, especially in the kitchen. Dishwasher had a strong odour and needs a deep clean, unfortunately when cleaning the kitchen floor we found lots of dog hairs, we found decomposed bread rolls and other items in the bread basket. Enjoyed sitting around the dining table, as well as using the gardens and pool, ideal for young children and grown ups during our family reunion.

Wonderful country house with all the bells and whistles!

This is a really lovely house. Beautifully presented, tastefully furnished, tucked away but close to everything you need. We were a large multi-generational family. There was room for everyone, but, to be honest, we spent most of our time outside in the amazing gardens. The pool was amazing and the kids were in it most of the day, there was a lovely bbq with a dining table where we ate almost all our meals and the extensive lawned areas were great for playing games. Only comment would be that this is clearly a house that is lived in by the family that owns it most of the time. It is not professionally managed, but this is not a criticism. There are a lot of the family's belongings in the house and it was sometimes difficult to know what was for our use and what was not. The upside of this however is that the house if very well equipped (we could have prepared a banquet with all the useful equipment in the kitchen) and the place had a 'homey' feel - a bit like staying in the friend's house. A great house for a large group.

family reunion

Age range 6 to 70. The grounds and the pool and the kitchen area of the house were the big winners. Supermarkets and great pubs close by. Although we did venture out for a couple of day trips we were happiest staying in the house using the facilities.

We had a fantastic time staying here before my wedding which was in the area. The house is very large and homely so was lovely settling in in such a beautiful space.

The house is everything you will expect from the description, spacious, well kept with good facilities. The owners provided us with plenty of help and local insight as required to ensure that our stay was everything we had hoped for. Your really do not need to leave the site to have a great time.
