Enjoy the huge private pool, tiki bar, hot tub, roomy outdoor shower with changing room and a killer roof-top deck with ocean to sound views. Beach cottage chic and the 21st century and are merged together with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and white beadboard cabinets make the kitchen unique, functional and fabulous.

Grocery stores, retail shops, restaurants and attractions like The Currituck Lighthouse, Wild Horse Tours or The Currituck Club golf course are in walking or driving distance from Wish You Were Here.

We loved our time here! The property was just as described in the listing – clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It felt like a home away from home. Traveling with two young children, we especially appreciated how family-friendly the space was. There was plenty of room for the kids to play, and the layout made it easy to relax as a family. The private pool, short walk to the beach, and proximity to local shops and restaurants were a huge bonus! Highly recommend for families looking for a stress-free beach vacation!

Perfect Cottage for our family

Had a week of relaxation and family time in the perfect location super easy walk to beach and close to all the shopping! Weather didn’t cooperate much but we still enjoyed the pool and hot tub every chance we got!

Wish You Were Here was a lovely home, perfect for our family! Only minor complaints...back slider difficult to lock, wheel missing from beach cart, one bike had a flat tire, & a bucket full off trash/beer cans left by the pool. But really none of those things hampered our stay! Loved the style, fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds, great pool, beach supplies, & easy walk to the beach.

Memorable Vacation

Wish You Were Here was the ultimate in vacation housing. Everything we needed was available, the property was exceptionally clean, and the pool area was more than we could imagine. It was a great place for extended family to gather to celebrate. I appreciated the quick response from owners when there were questions and would definitely recommend the place to anyone visiting the Corolla NC area. Nice family stay

We had a great stay! The layout of the house is very practical, with 2 bedrooms on each end of the home, and a loft extra room upstairs that was perfect for our oldest child to have her own privacy. Manager was very communicative, easy directions, check in was smooth and house cleaned on arrival. There were a few small cosmetic issues of the home but I'm sure they will be worked out in time. Overall great experience!

Absolutely loved the pool area. Deck needs some major work, lots of staples poking out and nail heads. Had to remove a couple from feet and several rotting boards. If those got fixed it would be an absolutely great property

Great house for family or friends located close to the beach

We were three couples who stayed a week at Wish You Were Here in Corolla. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. The house has plenty of outdoor space to spread out or enjoy each other's company. The pool area is lovely and a great area to relax after a day at the beach or out on the sound. The beach is just a few blocks away and local shops for daily sundries and items only a golf cart ride away. Corolla is a hidden gem in OBX. After riding through the busy area of Duck, Corolla was a quiet breath of fresh ocean air. We would definitely all stay here again!

"No Corona Getaway"

The property was a little dated and too far from the beach. It was very difficult to carry items . The next visit, I would like property on the beach. Otherwise it was a comforting vacation.

The location and house were fine,there were some things that could use attention,especially in the pool area.Most was cosmetic but could really spruce up the place.We were really impressed with the quick attention we got when we asked to have certain things looked at,but again really nice place that just needs a little attention.

Good house but could be great

House was good but could use a few things. They need to clean under furniture. Especially in a dog friend home. Some rotting deck boards that are hazardous. Beach chairs,beach cart and coffee pot need replacing. Other than those things this was a good house and a solid location.

Great getaway!

The property was 100% what the listing mentioned! It was clean and the property manager Rich was very accommodating. He deserves 10 stars alone. He kept in touch with us all week ensuring everything was going well. Great escapes makes the check in and check out process super easy. The walk to the beach is barely .25 miles. The only downfall is that the deck could be beautiful if the boards were not rotted and had nails sticking out. The pool area could be top notch with a few updates. Overall, 4.5 starts!

Great Vacation Spot

My Family and I stayed here on the second week of August and thoroughly enjoyed this home. The pool was fantastic, house was clean and close enough to walk to the beach. We really did enjoy this house only thing we had a problem with is the decking. It needs some real love in the off-season. Walking barefooted on it is risky. Wood is splintering and nails/ old screws have popped up and some boards are rotted. Had to clean up kids feet and one of the dogs feet from a puncture wound because of it. Other than that this is a great home.

Average stay!

Fun family vacation but had some hiccups. Nothing special about the property. Great location and loved being able to have the dogs with us. AC went out while we were there which was very frustrating. After a couple days of back and forth and then a company coming out to try and fix it. They ended up getting us multiple AC window units which was appreciated! The cable/internet was not working either. Just seemed like multiple things were wrong that wasn’t being properly monitored or taken care of.

Nice house, but

Nice house was not very clean. My dogs ball went under the couch. It was disgusting deck needs to be replaced but they did come out and fix boards when I was there overall a decent place but the maintenance man threw the boards with the screws on the ground and left them there. I had to flip them over so the dog wouldn’t step on them

We do hope housekeepers dust under the furniture, especially after a pet guest departs and I apologize for it not being done prior to your arrival. Leaving debris behind after a repair is not our normal practice, I don't know the circumstances but have passed along your notes to Maintenance and Housekeeping Managers with hopes that those types of issues don't occur in the future. Perfect Corolla Vacation

This has been the best housing experience that we have had in the outer banks, and we have been to the OBX for over 10 years. Everything was perfect, from the cleanliness of the house, the beautiful pool with the bar and grill area, the neighborhood, and there was even a gift basket with frequently forgotten to pack items like laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, TP and more that I am forgetting. What a nice surprise! The house sits away from the beach a bit, but the short walk is so pleasant with a beautiful walkway in place and only takes a few minutes to walk. I plan to stay here again!
