Private Oasis - Luxury 3BR/3BA Villa with Garden and Pool
Villa Oasis is named after the garden. It has been designed to feel like you are stepping into a peaceful oasis within San Miguel, the main town of Cozumel. Upon entering, you are surrounded by lush, tropical vegetation, the sound of a waterfall, perimeter fountains, and a 1/2-acre lot that is shaded by huge, old mango trees and tall Royal Palms. This sets the ambiance, which is cooling to your senses. The house has three bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed, a second bedroom has 2 twin beds, and the third bedroom is extremely large with two built-in twin beds and a queen bed. Six people can sleep very comfortably, with a maximum occupancy of 8. There are three full bathrooms in the house. The living room and dining room are done in Mayan stone, all leading to a bougainvillea covered patio. The living room has a built-in, giant screen TV with a surround-sound system, cable TV, DVD, and CDs. The house also has high-speed wireless internet and Garden speakers for Apple music products. We are 2 blocks from the ocean and just 10 minutes away from Chankanaab, where you can snorkel, dive, swim with dolphins, and do much more. The gardener comes daily to clean the yard and pool. The housekeeper comes twice a week to clean and do the linens. COZUMEL ISLAND San Miguel, located on the Island of Cozumel, is a small Caribbean town with an international airport, many restaurants, shops, scuba diving shops, plaza, hotels, shopping centers and the Chankanaab nature marine reserve, It has several beautiful, sandy white beaches. You can choose secluded ones or you can spend your day jet skiing, paragliding, and more. Visit Punta Sur by kayak or jeep, spend the day wandering around the ancient Mayan archaeological site of San Gervasio, enjoy jungle tours, or see Cozumel's origins at the museum in town. We are a 30-minute ferry ride away from the Yucatan Peninsula's port or Playa del Carmen, where you can spend a day or two visiting the famous ruins of Tulum and Chichen-Itza. Playa del Carmen is only 45 kilometers from Cancun International airport. Cozumel offers many options and yet is definitely a laid back and relaxing atmosphere. Jeep and car rentals are easy and affordable. The rate is approximately $35 USD per day, and can be delivered to the house. If you can't decide between Mexico or the Caribbean, why not pick both!

Amazing property in a great location. Every room was beautiful. We loved the garden and pool outside. The property manager was very nice and extremely helpful. Thank you! 10/10 Would definitely stay there again.
Our 2nd time back to this lovely oasis in the city. Great grounds, bedrooms/kitchen. Perfect for 6 friends or family. Rosalie, the housekeeper was always at the ready to help us with anything we needed and cooked us a few delicious meals. Her big heart made the whole trip even sweeter.

Thank you and your family and friends. We strive to make our guests enjoy their stay.
We had a beautiful and relaxing stay at this wonderful property. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers, and had plenty of room to play and relax. The enclosed yard and pool was fantastic. The housekeeper, Claudia, was amazing.
We had a great stay and would certainly recommend!
As the name implies, Villa Oasis is a lush beautiful home in a great neighborhood. The housekeeper/cook if you need her, is wonderful and the grounds keeper grooms the property. Lot of great restaurants in walking distance. Great place for divers or if you just want to relax.

Thank you , it was nice to have you.
We received some separate comments from you about certain improvements which we are addressing. That info is appreciated.
We loved the property. The walled garden around the villa created a serene oasis in the heart of the city and the kids loved the pool. There were some restaurants/shops within walking distance, though the heart of the touristy area was further downtown. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was drinking water provided at all times. The beds were on the firmer side, but we loved the place overall.

Dear David:
It is always great to hear that our guests enjoyed staying at the Villa Oasis. Thank you for the excellent review and we look forward to having you again as a guest at the Villa Oasis.
We feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at this property, and we were sad to leave. The garden and grounds are spectacular. It was very thoughtfully appointed, and the towels and bedding were the nicest out of any hotel or house we've stayed at. Everything was clean and maintained. Rosa, the housekeeper, was very sweet and hardworking, and extremely patient with our lack of Spanish! The location was walkable to everything, without being too busy. We look forward to coming back!

Dear Laurel:
We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit to Villa Oasis. You are welcome back anytime.
We had a great stay and would absolutely recommend this property. The location was excellent, and, like most of Cozumel, nothing ever felt far away. Getting around the island was easy, and the house felt like a private oasis—relaxing and comfortable. The layout worked very well for our group and would also be great for families. The home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, all en-suites. The large back bedroom with two twin beds would be perfect for kids. The pool was a highlight and larger than many we saw around the island. Entry was a little chilly at first, but once adjusted it was great, and we spent a lot of time enjoying it. The pool was clean and serviced during our stay, and there were pool toys available in the garage. The kitchen was well-equipped. We didn’t cook full meals, but having taco fixings, cold drinks, a blender, and toaster made it easy to enjoy casual meals by the pool. Being close to a grocery store was very convenient.Air conditioning is available throughout the house, though most of us relied on the ceiling and floor fans, which worked extremely well. WiFi was strong and reliable. The host was very responsive. Despite a long flight delay, they stayed in touch and met us at the property. We were also offered a garage opener, which made it easy for friends to stop by on New Year’s Eve.There is some street noise since the home is in town, but it didn’t bother us.We would happily stay here again.
Our stay was perfect. Really was a secret garden once you opened the gait. Beautiful space. Location great and close to everything we wanted. Best of all was Claudia the housekeeper! She went way above and beyond every day. She cooked us dinner and lunch which were delicious as well as providing fruit juice and fresh juice every morning. Will definitely stay here again.

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at Villa Oasis immensely! The location is perfect - just a short walk to any number of excellent restaurants and cafes, to the central plaza, or to the ocean. The private garden and pool were definitely the highlight for our kids! Max was very responsive and helpful, suggesting several outings, coordinating taxis, and arranging for a ride on a glass-bottom boat. The house-keeper, Claudia, was lovely. We ate a delicious home-cooked meal made by Claudia and her husband. We felt very safe, secure and comfortable during our stay. We highly recommend Villa Oasis!
We stayed at Villa Oasis for 9 nights. The location was easy to access from the ferry port. Clodia met us at the house. Max helped us rent a car. After beach/ snorkeling time, we returned to the house and swam. My 3 kids loved the pool. It gets a good amount of shade, so in the afternoon, it was very refreshing. Clodia made us several meals, which we all loved. She also made us fresh juices in the morning. It was a lovely vacation in Cozumel!

Thank you, Sarah, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at the house. Please come back anytime we would love to have you and your family again.
This house is close to everything you will want in a Cozumel vacation. The grocery store is a couple blocks away and we ate at many different restaurants within walking distance. Rosa cooked for us a couple of meals that were delicious and we had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Our dive shop was also within walking distance. During our stay we did take a cab to a beach club since downtown Cozumel doesn’t have a sandy beach. That being said the outdoor garden and pool are well maintained so you may just stay at the property. The best part of our vacation was going to Mingos, a bar/restaurant across the street. His steaks are the best I have ever had in Mexico!
We had a nice stay here. The house has everything you need and location is a short walk to the grocery store and downtown (restaurants, etc.). Highlights - the outside property is beautiful and relaxing and the space is quiet and somewhat protected from the surrounding downtown area. I was in town for Ironman so i was looking for something where sleep wouldn't be an issue (noise / light, etc.). To that end, this house was great. The house it self could use a refresh / some investment - we were staying there after a break in tenants and it was a bit musky when we arrived and was to an extent throughout. Wasn't a huge deal - but a little more rustic than i anticipated. Others commented about hot water, ours was fine - never an issue. Beds / linens were clean and slept just fine every night. It was cool (AC throughout) / dark & quiet - just what i needed. Kitchen has everything you need - and someone came every other day to take care of trash / dishes etc. which was very nice.
We spent close to a week at this property. I had debated whether or not to go with an all-inclusive but am SO glad we did not. It was fabulous to get more of a slice of Mexico and walk down to the shops and restaurants which were all close, but the walk was lovely and allowed us to see less touristy restaurants, shops and little bars etc. The garden is as-promised, an Oasis with a pool. The house has a truly authentic feel with plenty of room and all amenities. The highlight of the stay here was meeting the housekeeper Rosa. She made us a FABULOUS meal on our 2nd night, including a flan for my birthday. The leftovers literally carried us through the week in terms of snacks and lunches. She was charming and highly adept with Google Translate. I would return here in a minute. Thankyou Clodia and Rosa. xoxox

Villa Oasis experience
Our rental lady met us at the house upon our arrival. It was 100 degrees in Cozumel with 99% humidity but the house manager stated we can only use the AC's in the rooms very sparingly. They are keeping our deposit because we used the AC too much and we broke 2 shot glasses as well as leaving watermelon on the counter. the pool area was gorgeous but the house itself was very old from inside and nothing worked properly. I would not recommend this house, there are many other gorgeous properties in Cozumel to stay at. They will keep your deposit for the smallest things.

Charles and Mona’s family reviews are way out of sync with every other review, as a reader can see. Look at the experience of every past guest. This is because they were unusual guests as far as wasting, soiling, and breaking beyond any tolerance level a rental house can accept. This is the very first, and we hope last time in 11 years we've kept any part of a deposit.
The house manager replies below, on point, in case anyone is interested in the specifics. Like using each and every AC to the max with doors open. And by the way when she's called, she promptly responds.
Dear Charles and Mona:
Mona indicated to the rental agent that you both had a wonderful stay at Villa Oasis. Though I have previously corresponded with you privately, I will publicly respond to your reviews.
All of the bills for expenses related to your stay at Oasis are in and I am happy to tell you that a partial refund is due. The expenses, converted to USD at 18MN/1USD, are:
Repair outdoor stereo speaker control $131.21 Pay 2 extras to clean after departure and repair furniture (incl. materials) $143.60
Replace broken glasses $11.30
Unnecessary service call by AC tech $77.33
Wasteful electricity usage $69.27.
It is common knowledge that the Caribbean is hot and humid in summer. Outdoor temps during your stay were a notch below Cozumel's historic average of 88 day, 74 night.
On your arrival day, I twice told you to conserve, to run the AC's 25-22C, and to turn off when you left the house. The next day, I told you again via email. At 22C, the units dry interior air and maintain a comfortable differential. Instead, you set the ACs at their lowest settings in an attempt to achieve a huge differential and you ran all four units at the same time. It is no surprise that this strained the system and did not provide the comfort that you desired. You also ran room ACs when you were not on the property with interior doors open and, when you left Cozumel, you left the ACs running with both interior and exterior doors open.
You did not report that the TV in the master did not work. Had you, we would have responded as immediately as we did when you complained that the ACs were not working. (The ACs quit because you overloaded them.)
You do not agree that the security deposit should be withheld. The electricity was a small part of the total. The mess that you left in the house required hiring additional workers and you damaged household items that required repair and replacement.
The home is very private, plenty of space for 6-8 people with a beautiful pool and lush landscaping. The host and staff were exceptional at communication and with check-in/out. Rosa the housekeeper was amazing and so kind! She served us (family of 5) breakfast everyday and made us feel very welcome. The home is large, larger than the photo's show, the pool was fantastic for the kids, huge lush yard and the garage was a plus for our rental car.
Reluctantly the negatives for our family was:
There's a 4 story building being built directly over the pool area across the street that is not shown on the website photo's. So expect lots of hammering and drilling throughout the day, workers looking on.
Last, the house is rustic and we understood this, however it could use some updating based on comfort, especially the master bed and bath.
Over-all a wonderful house with fanastic staff.

Dear Josh,
Thank you for taking the time to write your honest comments. Points Well taken. I am having planted some trees to grow high soon to isolate the view from the building across; the noise? Should finish soon I hope.
about updating parts of the house you are absolutely right, I have schedule such work to take place in September
We had a really nice stay at Villa Oasis! The garden and the pool are both amazing! We spent many hours lounging and swimming. The plants are beautiful and you feel like you are miles away from the town even though everything you need is a very short walk away!
The house is spacious and very comfortable. We had some issues with the showers, the temperature was tough to regulate but we managed. We used the fans a lot but there is air conditioners for the extra warm days.
Rosa is wonderful! She prepared a couple of dinners for us, it was nice to have a great meal at home, especially with the baby asleep down the hall. There were leftovers as well and we were able to enjoy the cooking ourselves a couple of times.
There was a crazy rain storm that caused flooding all over town and the pool was affected. Rosa and the pool maintenance man took care of everything and the pool was good as new very quickly. Thank you for that!
The house is a bit rustic but we loved it and would happily rent again!
