Staying in the boat house

The house is well equipped and the location excellent, although one must plan to walk 200 meters to reach the house which is on a peculiar road to deive. the host is suoer helpful and polite, the kitchen fully stocked.

Cutest cottage in the 4 we stayed in during our 7 weeks in azores. It is very small and efficient, cute cute cute and very unique. It is tiny, but feels big because of the high ceilings. Airflow across the cottage works well, because you can open all the doors and windows during the day. In the evening it is best to have the lights off. The location of the house is difficult to find…it runs along the river, with a very tiny alley, parallel off the end of the bridge. We did not try to drive down it. If you go be sure to pick up coffee, tea and grocery’s before you arrive. It is a good walk, partially uphill to get there. That being said it is quiet, peaceful and serene…along a tiny creek in the wet season. Cozy reading spots and books inside …or sunny/shady spots outside.Outside there is a garden area with a table chairs, outdoor fireplaces. Compared to the other 4 places this was the quietest, even though it’s central city…easy to walk to local places, restaurants and boardwalk and ferry.

February in Horta

The property was just as described, close to the town centre and beach. Very quiet and genuine Azorean feel with thick stone walls. Within easy walking distance of bakery, veg market and other town facilities. Will come again. We were probably very lucky with the weather at this time of year but it was a great holiday.

Nice little house near city center and very calm

We had a wonderful time in "Adega do Mirante" and really enjoied our stay. Everything we needed was there. The little garden was perfect for dinner or barbecue. Patricia and her husbund provided us with lots of information about the surroundings end even brought us bicicles. Everything was perfect. We really recommend this accomodation to other guests. To stay in "Adega do Mirante" was a very nice experience and a great pleasure. Thank you so much for everything!

Charming bungalow a 20 min walk from Horta Marina

We enjoyed our stay - It was very clean, charming with an outdoor courtyard where we enjoyed our morning coffee and dinner once or twice. One observation and one way it could have been better. The ladder to the beds is steep and whereas we didn't have any problem climbing UP the ladder - coming down! the ladder in the middle of the night in the dark - or in the morning is slightly dangerous. So, if you are young and fit and are OK with climbing ladders - this is a sweet place for you. Also, the bed areas in the loft do not have full headroom - so you have to duck when you're up in the sleeping loft area. The only real complaint is about the bath towels. They were old and stiff and an unfortunate color of grey. Nice, new, soft bath towels would be a great addition.
