About this property

Waterfront With It’s Own Private Sandy Beach

Surrounded by over three thousand of acres of open space and set on a knoll over it’s own ( only for this home) sandy beach the house has view across the quiet ( no motor craft allowed) clear waters of 150 acre Wincheck Pond. Excellent swimming off the gradual incline of the beach . Enjoy kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding with the provided water craft. Hiking is beautiful with Ell Pond, the only location in RI to be on the National Register of Natural Places 1/2 mile from the house . 1/2 hour from the Westerly or Charlestown beaches , Mystic Seaport , Mystic Aquarium , Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun but you wlll not want to leave the property. 40 minutes to Providence 50 minutes to Newport.
Linens are NOT PROVIDED but can be rented an additional cost of $125. Blankets ,pillows, bedspreads etc. are provided .
It is highly recommended that you purchase trip insurance as bookings are non-refundable. Maximum 7 person overnight occupancy with no more than 12 people allowed on the property at one time without making prior arrangements. July and August check in and check out is on Saturday.

This was our second time staying at the lake house and we are very happy that we returned. The house with private beach is perfect for young kids. It’s absolutely beautiful with so many things to do.

The location is wonderful. The beach is perfect for little kids. There are kayaks, a paddle board, and life jackets for hours of fun. It’s close enough to Mystic to be able to go to the aquarium and museums. Bill and Alison were very helpful and attentive hosts.

Best vacation spot ever!

This is the second time we stayed at this location and it was just as amazing this time as it was the first. My son loved it so much that he rented it with his family last year as well. We hope to make this a family tradition, as it’s close to home, yet definitely feels like paradise.

This was one of the better stays we’ve had! The area was beautiful, the house and property were as pictured and better than listed, and we thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting. The house and area had the best of both worlds—everything you’d want for an analog stay/relax, but internet and amenities for the modern world. We loved our time there and will gladly go back!

Amazing little retreat

Perfect home and setting for us to get away for a weekend! The pictures are exactly what you get but it’s so much more to just be there and enjoy. Loved taking a paddle board and canoe ride around the lake. Loved sitting in the little nook inside that overlooked the lake. Trail very close by and also a great adventure!

A Hidden Gem!

This charming house is set on the most gorgeous lake; every window offers water views. It's so lovely and serene that you never want to leave (even for one of the fantastic local hikes.) Check in/out was easy and the owners are friendly and accessible. The home is very comfortable, cozy and well-supplied. My favorite-ever vacation rental!

Beautiful Place to Stay

This was our second year staying at the Lake House. It is a lovely property, nicely maintained with new amenities. The AC was needed and appreciated. Wincheck Pond was refreshing and fun for boarding, boating and swimming. Local hikes and cycling to Ell Pond, Patchaug State Forest, etc. is a highlight of staying here. We hope to stay here again soon!

Timeless Oasis

Looking to relax and recharge? Look no further, as this is a MUST stay. Bill and Allison were wonderful hosts and the property is exactly as listed. The charm and character of the property is only outdone by its location. You are close enough to enjoy Mohegan Sun and Mystic or far enough away to feel like time stops as you recharge yourself. An absolute must stay for those looking just to relax.
