Great location, a clean property, and an incredibly helpful host (Karina). She was always quick to respond! There is also a great water heater - some apartments in Cartagena do not have hot water, or if they do, the water heater doesn't work very well. This one is great! The AC also works with no problems. The location can't be beat. The beach is directly across the street, I could walk to the grocery store (Carulla Fresh Market), and plenty of restaurants around. My kids also enjoyed the pool. Overall, I took off a star because there are no side tables in the apartment - not by the couch or in the bedrooms. Also, the 30th-floor windows open without safeguards. I have older kids, so we just made a rule not to open the windows EVER. If you have a curious preschooler who might be able to open the windows, perhaps choose a more modern building that has safe windows.

They can do better

The place is in a nice location, easy to get to other locations but the owners should invest in their property. It is just a money maker for them, they do not care to make you feel welcome. Appliances are very outdated, the stove is broken, the pots and pans are old, crooked, the silverware is like they were picked out from the garbage. It takes just a fraction of what they charge in one day to get a nice set of pots and pans, a nice set of MATCHING silverware that works, and knives that actually cut, and perhaps a kitchen towel, dish soap and a sponge. No dish soap, no sponge, no paper towel, the place is BARE, 1 roll of toilet paper, prepare to go to the market (outside the building) and get the BARE ESCENTIALS because this place has NOTHING for you, just the 4 walls and the beds. El lugar está en una buena ubicación, fácil de llegar a otros lugares, pero los propietarios deben invertir en su propiedad. Es solo una máquina de hacer dinero para ellos, no les importa hacerte sentir bienvenido.
