My husband and I took our adult children on our 25th Anniversary trip. This was a great stay for all of us! Our kids and son-in-law had no problem sharing the loft. The house was cozy and furniture comfortable. We had everything we needed and more! Plenty of big fluffy towels, room to sprawl out, a great table for cards at night, and comfy furniture. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Amazing log cabin

We were a family of four found this property on vrbo. Fantastic location with 10 mins to the West entrance to Yellowstone national park. Very comfortable, nicely maintained and picturesque views from the living room, patio and all around. Barry the owner was responsive to queries. Great place to stay and enjoy Yellowstone national park.

Convenient but away from the crowd

Overall nice place. Easy to get to and close enough to West Yellowstone and the west park entrance where it wasn’t a hassle. Everything was as advertised. Trying to figure out the light and fan switches was not super intuitive, but that’s a minor issue. One of the 2 couches probably needs to go unless you like hyper soft seating. Beds were very comfortable. Would stay again.

Family Yellowstone vacation

We stayed 3 nights at the Bean's Lodge and loved it. It is spacious with all the amenities you need to sleep comfortably, cook a family meal and relax on the wraparound deck or in the family room. The decor is perfect for a log cabin and makes you feel cozy and happy. There were games to play and a well-stocked kitchen. The only slight negative is the busy road that runs in front of it, but the gorgeous view outweighs the noise you hear from the cars on the road. Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation!

Great property for families

This property was exactly as expected from the description. It was comfortable and well stocked for all of our needs. It was close enough to Yellowstone to easily go back and forth. My only suggestion is that the address on the property itself be lit up somehow. We arrived in the dark and boy was it dark! Once we knew where the cabin was located this didn’t matter though. We enjoyed a wonderful stay!

Great cabin for our family vacation

We loved our stay at this place & how close it is to Yellowstone Park. It is a beautiful, spacious cabin with a rustic feel…just what we were looking for. It is well equipped, especially the kitchen, with all the amenities of home. One of the best parts of our stay here was waking up & having the awesome mountain views with our coffee. One morning it snowed & was just beautiful outside. We made snowman sentinels to protect the cabin while we were gone to Yellowstone Park. Lol! Barry, the host, was very helpful & responsive to the questions we had. This place was perfect for our family vacation. We would definitely stay here again.

Thoroughly pleasant

We were at Bean’s cabin for 4 nights over the Labor Day weekend and we loved it. It’s a short drive to West Yellowstone park entrance. It’s located in a serene place with mountains and open fields all around. The cabin is stocked with almost all you need, from cookware to spices to edibles; even cooking is a pleasure there. The cabin décor will instigate you to take a lot of family photos. My son enjoyed the jetted bathtub. Barry was very responsive. All in all, the cabin played to big role in making our vacation thoroughly pleasant. I resent that we had a short vacation and didn’t had time to spend a complete day at the cabin.

Great family home base for Yellowstone

Great place for a large family to retreat to after long days in Yellowstone. The views are great, and the common space was super conducive for family dinners and evening cards. Distance to park entrance was only 10-15 minutes which we preferred as it felt like we were away from the crowds. Only one enclosed bedroom so not ideal if you have more than one adult couple but it was fine. A little close to the road and with windows open or being out on the deck I could see that being annoying. But inside with windows closed it was incredibly quiet. Owner Barry was very responsive to inquiries. All in all we enjoyed the cabin life vs. a hotel and this one was great.

Great Place to stay for a Family Trip to Yellowstone

Our family of five, including 3 college aged young adult children, loved our stay at the Bean’s Bighorn Lodge! It was very conveniently located to the west entrance of Yellowstone, about 15 minutes away, and was a beautiful, peaceful place to return at the end of our long days of hiking and exploring the beauty of God’s creation. The kitchen was very well equipped and allowed us to be able to prepare our meals with plenty of space and everything we needed on hand. We had reached out to the owners for recommendations of things to do in the area and they recommended the Bar J Chuckwagon in Wilson, WY. It is a bit of a jaunt but we were not disappointed, it was definitely worth the trip! Our three young adult children shared the loft space and there was plenty of room for them to spread out and be comfortable. They loved the space especially with the view out the front second story windows. We all agreed that the pictures of the cabin are really pretty but they do not do it justice. The cabin is bigger than it appears in the pictures and is truly a peaceful place to rest and spend time together. You have to step out on the porch at night to see the night sky - amazing! Barry and Susan, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! This was a trip we have always dreamed of taking and the cabin just made it that much more special. God bless, Tracy

Disliked: Location
The inside of the house was beautiful and clean. The only issue really was the views seemed somewhat misleading. A pot a potty was the view out of the bedroom window upstairs and the view off the front porch was a dumpster for construction next door. The grounds around this property were not as clean as I would have expected for a 220 cleaning fee for one night.

Great location for traveling to Yellowstone. Would be a 5 but the outside was a little unkept and the doors could us some fresh paint. The decor (carpet) was a little dated and the tubs/showers were from the 70's and difficult for us seniors to get in and out of. This was the biggest issue. Would recommend with the few noted exceptions. Tom H.

We live in Layton Utah but love to spend our time in Island Park and love the mountains so enjoy sharing our home with you. We are retired military and were stationed in SoCal/San Diego.

Why they chose this property

We love the area and especially the accessibility of this cabin with the great views and quiet. Our favorite thing to do is just relax and enjoy the peace with the great view. Visiting the local attractions are a one of a kind tour. No place like Yellowstone for outdoor life and wildlife viewing.

What makes this property unique

Sitting on the deck with a cup of cocoa/coffee watching the sun illuminate the hills across the valley is just. . .serene. Watching the wildlife cross the valley floor is wonderful and somehow just right. The neighbors are great and willing to help and stop for a cup.
