This place is just pure magic. It accommodated our family of 15 (10 adults and 5 children) flawlessly. Erin and David are such attentive hosts and communication with them was a breeze. The kitchen served our needs beautifully, and we had so many opportunities to have real “family meals” with all the seating spaces. What a rare treat! The swimming pool was a family favorite, and it was so nice to not have to drive to have that amenity. The house is stocked with games, both indoors and outdoors, and looking at that view every morning and evening from any one of the numerous decks, the gazebo, and the porch was unsurpassed. Beds were comfy, and we had plenty of room to spread out with the lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. The kiddos LOVED that bunk room. It was their clubhouse haven! We had everything we needed at A Kings Lodge. A special memory that will stick with the littles is getting to feed and pet the horses. We had arranged to have some riding time, but the weather had other ideas on the day we’d planned. Erin was so sweet to make sure the little ones had a chance to experience the farm, though. While the main aim of our trip was for our Midwest families to meet up with our east coast families “in the middle,” and we didn’t really venture into nearby Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg except for supplies, there is an abundance of varied attractions and activities within reach. If you book this special place, you won’t regret it for a minute. 10/10, and we’d love to come back.
