Clean, quaint just wish we could have checked in a bit early. Otherwise Great location. The bathroom makes it a bit hard to shower since it’s a tall bathtub/spa jacuzzi and my wife is pregnant. It was hard for her to get in and out of the bathtub.
We have been coming here to visit family for nearly ten years. It is our go to place in Campbell. Extremely comfortable, immaculate, quiet, centrally located for restaurants and shopping.
A lovely quirky place. Location was perfect, close to shops, coffee places, and our family. Very clean, comfortable and beds, bathroom are nice. Would give it a 5 if there was a kettle for our brews (we are Brits and need tea!) and there was a way to cool the bedrooms down during the hot weather spell.
Perfect for what I needed, and more. If you plan on cooking, check the kitchen first! It is very well stocked with spices, flours, coffee, sugars, etc. Extremely comfortable and super cute!
So comfortable and so quiet, even though this cottage was only one block from downtown Campbell and its amazing collection of restaurants, bars and shops. We loved the time period furnishings and were especially taken with the garden and its mosaic pathways and fruit trees (fig and lemon and lime) where we enjoyed our morning coffee, and bird-watched.
Beautiful home with an amazing backyard. Everything checked out as listed! Could not have asked for a better stay anywhere that is located such a peaceful neighborhood.
This house is charming! It had everything we needed; the outdoor space was perfect to gather and relax. The location is walking distance to downtown restaurants/shops. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need: we had coffee on the porch; made a meal one evening; and were able to come and go with no worries. We will be back for sure!
We enjoyed our stay at this Victorian duplex house. The hosts are very nice and friendly. You are so close to downtown Campbell that we pretty much walked everywhere. There’s a nice park nearby where you can walk along a creek. The beds were comfortable and the backyard was a nice place to sit outside - lots of flowers and succulents to enjoy. We would return to this rental.
We just fell in love with it. You couldn't ask for a better location or a cuter house! Our host was super accommodating and everything looked just as clean as can be. You'd swear we were the first people to use the kitchen, which was very nicely appointed. If you're shorter in stature, the tub might've cause some concern, but they even supplied a step stool for that!
My sister & her family really enjoyed staying at this place during just past December holidays. The house is very cute, clean, conveniently located and it has a beautiful backyard/ garden with lemon and avocado trees. The host (Cynthia) was very nice, attentive and provided us with all the necessary information for getting around, as well as for check-in & out procedures. We would highly recommend this place to future visitors!
Property was well maintained. Outside area greatly depicted California, lemon tree, flowers, cactus.
House has an old Victorian flare. Nice and cozy.
One block away from food and drinking establishments. Perfect! I highly recommend staying at this location.
The location is great. The house is drafty due to the age. King size bed is very comfortable but my sons didn’t find the twin beds comfortable. Overall good
Beds not as advertised. Bath and shower not equipped for seniors.
Kitchen very well equipped. House extremely clean. Will stay again, will recommend . Over all our experience was excellent. Location fantastic walking distance to Restaurants, Bars and entertainment, shopping. Morales Family

Hi Anna thank you for your review. We thought the fold out futon was an upgrade. We have taken your advise and changed back to a pair of twin beds. So now as advertised.
Exactly as advertised. Beautiful house and property. The house is a hundred years old so we could hear the people next door, but they turned out to have kids too. Restaurants were all walkable, and the farmers market was popping. Loved it. Thanks!
The location was amazing for restaurants Sunday farmers market etc
Taking a shower was difficult as getting into the tub required help as there is no grab bar and is crazy deep.
Parking is either on the street or lot across which has limited days and hours
This is a two family home with a full time renter in the other 1/2 so yard and porch is shared
Lots of junk on one side of yard so not too appealing to sit out back
The space was nice but should get rid of that old tub and put in a safe shower
Location was wonderful and loved the Market on Sunday

There is a step with a support bar provided in the bathroom to help get in and out of the tub. At the time of your stay we were working on the yard and side rails for safety and for drought compliance. The materials were confined to the extra side patio and driveway. These should be removed when the work is done.
Campbell is a beautiful city! This house was located right in front of the city hall and a library. A very quiet but also active neighborhood! Cynthia was an amazing host. She replied back to all of my questions and kept me updated with anything that was going on. The house is very clean, cozy, roomy! Beds were very comfortable and all of the rooms were spacious. Although, keep note that the bathtub is pretty high to get in. There is a stool to help you get on but other than that everything went well. Highly recommend this stay!! Thank you!

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
parking was very difficult not suited for kids
Was strange that they had a Gardener there every day during our stay. He was nice, but invasion of privacy bigtime. Parking was a nightmare if you have a walking condition that is a problem. The tub is not ADU complaint and I nearly broke my neck a few times. The tub is awesome but getting in and out was very difficult. There are no TVs in bedrooms. The house is shared with tenants who were cool, but another invasion of privacy. location was great.

Hi Kat sorry you felt you privacy was invaded. We do have to do upkeep on the house and the gardener was necessary as we were converting part of the yard to be drought compliant and to replace hand rails. We do try to keep most work to a minimum but for safety and complaince we had to do the upgrades at that time. The house is actually a duplex with two distinct units and the backyard is a common area. To help with getting in an out of the tub there is a step with handle located to the side of the sink that can be used to help get in and out of the tub. We do not have an ADU complaint house as most Victorians were not built that way and specifically have that mentioned in the ad. The tub is jetted and very large.

Nice location
My (adult) parents and I stayed here for a week in January. The location in relation to Downtown Campbell was great. Parking was not a huge issue, as we generally left all day, and after 6pm, when we came back, there was a spot available in front of the house, which we took. If you are coming/going all day long, it may be more of an issue to find parking.
The rental is half of a house (the other half is also a rental). Our side was spacious, the bedrooms not huge but well sized (good size closets to hang clothes, and space on the floor to lay suitcase to unpack). The bathroom wasn't huge, but the water pressure in the shower was great, and water hot! The kitchen had everything we needed (we didn't cook meals, but could have). Coffee was supplied, which was a nice touch.
The downsides for us were two things.
1.) The sound transmission from one side of the house to the other (another review also mentioned this). There is a wall that splits the house in two. The hallway on our rental was to the middle of the house, and I assume the hallway on the other half was also in the middle of the house. Consequently, you could hear footsteps as the other renters walked back and forth along the house. Many times I thought my mother was walking down the hall on our side, only to realize it was sound from the other half of the house. I never heard voices/talking/tv from the other side. Just foot prints/sounds echoing. There were also two mornings that the other renters were doing something (maybe morning calisthenics/burpees/jumping jacks??), and a loud THUD was heard throughout the house, which shook the house. Only lasted about 10 minutes, and was after 8am, so I didn't really feel I could complain. But sound/noises DO transmit through the house.
2.) The other thing we all felt was that our side of the rental seemed dimly lit. It's a Victorian style rental (and victorian style tends to be darker in colors), but the photos online show the place MUCH brighter/lighter than it was during our stay. The light fixtures had dim bulbs in them, and my father even commented that the Dining Room had really poor lighting. The owners had the old fashioned "edison-style" bulbs, which were charming to look at, but were not the most functional at throwing light.
Owner was VERY responsive to any questions I had before arrival. And while I didn't need to get ahold of them during the stay, I think I would have gotten a prompt response if needed.

Thank you for your response. I just wanted to respond quickly to the dim lights and Edison bulbs. One of the challenges I have noticed is that all the lights are on dimmers. Sometimes the dimmers are turned down and to get better light you just need to to turn up the dimmer switches. Also the Edison bulbs are in reality Edison style Led bulbs.

I spent my life creating art and traveling the world. My experience in corporate housing and hospitality began in 1993 when I moved to Germany. At the time, I traveled through Europe and the US enjoying a variety of furnished accommodations ranging from plastic sheets, crispy shag carpets, burnt utensils, and yes some cockroaches ..As well as some very charming and homelike accommodations with local flavor. In 2007, I drew upon my favorite personal experiences as a furnished accommodation guest and I began offering my home to travelers. I designed my home to include my favorite things about staying in unique places which were crisp clean white sheets, cozy soft couches, clean bright kitchen, and most especially local ambiance and collecting unique experiences.. I live close by with My son Ashton ,my partner Glen ,and our giant Maincoon cat, Moonlight.
