Overall this was a great place to stay. The home has a really cool mid-century modern style, but the home's exterior and patio could use cleaning and maintenance/care, along with some better patio furniture. On arrival, the home did not appear to have been swept, as the floors had a quite a bit of dust and debris on them, which wasn't a big deal, just noticable. Some instructions on how to operate things in the home would have been helpful, but we figured things out. The kitchens and bathrooms are nicely , so getting the exterior cleaned up would really elevate the place. Enjoyed it very much, nonetheless.
The views are amazing and the location is stunning. It was clean and ready for us to arrive. We needed to use the heat and the main storage heaters were wonderful but the bedroom ones didn't work.....despite the instructions. We had lots of hot water. Easy to contact the lady about entry.Luckily we were warned about the entrance which is very tight and awkward. The lane way vegetation needs to be cut back.Nicholas responded quickl when I had a query.I hadn't used vrbo previously and was concerned when they took all the money in January for an August booking.
Nice little bungalow on the lake that my group stayed at for a few nights to explore Western Ireland. The scenery was gorgeous, and it was a very quick/easy drive into Oughterard for restaurants / supplies.
We had a lovely stay and the days were clear and bright showing off the location as we were surrounded by lough Corrib. The open fire was delightful. The well equipped kitchen easily accommodated our Christmas day meal. The design of the house is excellent and accommodates all real needs with a variety of spaces.
Tranquil mid century modern home overlooking a lake, the host and property manager were attentive and responsive, accomodations were as described in the listing. We used this as a home base to explore western Ireland and it did not disappoint.
It is wonderful to arrive to find that everything is exactly as described in the VRBO listing. The house is lovely and well preserved. The views are amazing and the quiet was exactly what was needed.
This stay and area were the highlight of our trip. We loved everything about the cottage and location. Breathtakingly beautiful and right near the lovey town with everything you need to include world class coffee, and multiple outstanding pubs. Clancys is an absolute must as is Powers Thatch.
Beautiful location to relax, unwind and recharge the batteries. Amazing view right on the water, well equipped house with everything you need, clean and homely. Owner and Mike very helpful, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again some time.

Thank you so much for the kind review, it was a pleasure to have you stay & please come back any time.
Excellent communication from owner, the photos from the owner do not do the views of the lake justice.Excellent location to get to Galway or the Wild Atlantic Way. Definitely need a car to get around
After a whirlwind tour of Dublin and Cork we found a refreshing change of pace at this bungalow outside of Oughterard to ring in the New Year. There was plenty of room for the five of us and it made a great landing spot for day trips to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway.
The home was in an absolutely beautiful setting. Right on the Lake with Swans and fish highly visible. The home itself was very comfortable and had all the things we needed.

Hi John, thank you very much for your review, it was a pleasure having you as a guest & please feel free to come back any time.
The property was as advertised and very secluded on a peninsula. The lake is quite with great sunrise and sunsets. Mike (property manager) was easy to get ahold of and pleasant to work with.
Absolutely beautiful views of lakes and mountains!! Even got to see a sunset one evening!!! Beds are very comfortable and house is very quirky (in a good way) with old timey furniture and appliances (all work fine). Well stocked kitchen. Short drive into Oughterard (very cute little town) has supermarket and pubs (Clancy’s serves wonderful roasters and has live music). Convenient to take day trips to Connemara peninsula. All in all a grest place to stay.
