Pristine, Artfully-Crafted Home 20 ft from Pebble Beach w/hot tub! 150 ft of gently-sloped lakeshore. We've designed the home to make the most of our stellar lake views. Open floor plan, walls of windows, designer touches, custom woodwork, carefully carved out spaces including cozy bedrooms (plus loft and bunk space.) Take a soak in the hot tub and roast s'mores at the campfire, all directly on the waterfront. Check out our The Flathead Lake Retreat website for direct booking option!

Comfort is paramount. From mindful mattress selection to cushy outdoor furniture, we've taken every detail into account to create an optimal experience for our guests.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms:
Queen bedroom on the main level across from a bathroom with shower. King bedroom tucked away on the lower level with a peekaboo lake view. The bathroom on this level has a tub/shower. Additional beds in loft area and family room.

Also on the lower level, is a family/tv room with a bunk space. From the family room, sliding glass doors lead out to a screened porch for bug-free dining and lounging.

Kitchen:
The kitchen is the hub of the cabin with a large island and lake views. You'll have everything you need, to do as much or as little cooking as you prefer. Espresso maker, French press, coffee grinder, KitchenAid mixer, blender, quality knives and cookware with all the tools needed to help you cook with ease.

Living/Dining:
The dining table looks out to lake and mountain views, and seats 6 (4 more at the island). The living room is a cozy space to unwind, with a gas fireplace and comfy sectional.

We provide s’mores makings and firewood for the campfire! Roast a marshmallow at the fire pit and gaze at the stars.

Our swimming beach is pebbly and perfect for launching water toys, as well as for children to swim. It’s pretty shallow and protected from big wake, only about 4 feet at the deepest point- gradual depth for little swimmers. Our outdoor gear is all available for guests to play on the lake. Kayaks, paddleboards, life jackets, canoe & more. Two docks for your boat. Plenty of outdoor seating on the deck overlooking the lake, screened porch on lower level, near the beach. You’ll love our peaceful bay!

Please, note: Flathead Lake is fed by melting snowpack. This means the water levels of the lake vary depending on the season. Water levels begin to recede in October/November and the melting snowpack begins to refill the lake in April/May.

The Area:
We're tucked in the forest on the shores of peaceful Hughes Bay. Our quaint little town of Lakeside, just 4 miles to the north, offers great options for coffee, breakfast, baked goods, casual and fine dining, and a small grocery store.

If you decide to venture up north, Whitefish Mountain Resort offers fun seasonal activities for all ages: zipline, alpine slides, gondola rides, mountain biking, huckleberry picking, hiking, and skiing. The picturesque little town of Whitefish boasts fun little shops and great dining.

For all of the basics, Kalispell is a 30-minute drive away. Target, Costco, bigger grocery stores, library, etc.

Bigfork, a pretty 30-minute drive around the top of Flathead Lake, is a cute village full of art shops, a local theater, a river walk and great dining options.

Last but not least, Glacier National Park! The panoramic views are awe-inspiring...if you've never been, it's worth the 50-minute drive to the West Glacier entrance. So much to explore! Spectacular hiking- you can find our favorite hikes in the guide book at the house. Stop at Eddie's for a scoop of huckleberry ice-cream on the shores of Lake McDonald.

Good to Know:
During winter months, you'll need a car with good tires and 4WD/AWD.

We have baby gear, toys, dishes, kid's life jackets, beach toys, etc. please let us know if you would like any of these items, and we'll be sure to have them ready for you. We have kids and have made the cabin a kid-friendly zone.

This home was just what we needed! It was in a quiet spot, perfect for kids to play outside and explore safely. This cabin is perfect for anyone who needs to take a break and recharge. The setting on a quiet bay was perfect for me and my husband after a very busy summer. The cabin itself is furnished with literally everything you need to feel immediately at home. Immaculately clean and well designed. We used the kayaks every day to paddle around the lake and saw eagles and deer every day. We hiked several local trails and saw wild turkeys as well....but mostly we unplugged and relaxed.....which we both really needed to do...having morning coffee or reading on the deck looking out at the water and mountains. Highly recommend Tamarack Brewing Company in Lakeside, Norm's Soda Fountain in Kalispell (the huckleberry shakes are amazing!) and Echo Lake Cafe near BigFork if you want to eat away from home. Also, if you ever went to summer camp as a kid, walk the road over to the Lutheran Camp for a little piece of nostalgia....beautiful. Jenna was great, very communicative to be sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Wonderful Stay at Flathead Lake

We had a delightful stay at this beautiful house on the bay at Flathead lake. The property is amazing. Even though it was mid May, the bay was filling in and we were able to take advantage of the water sports activities provided at the house. I loved the lounge chairs sitting out almost on their own island. The views were spectacular. The inside of the house is just what I imagined for a Montana dreamhouse. And the amenities were the best I have ever experienced. From having pancakes mix and coffee to all the towels for the hot tub. I would highly recommend this property and I would love to go back and stay when the weather is a little warmer.

This property is truly the most remarkable home I have ever rented. Everything you need and more is tucked away in this private quiet home nestled in the shade and lake front. The amenities are vast, the owners are wonderful and the peace you find at this property is unmatched. We enjoyed every minute here and although the water line this time of year is low, it didn’t stop us from enjoying every inch of the outside space. It was a perfect fit for our family and enjoyed an Easter meal together. This property was by far the most beautiful, welcoming and well stocked property I have ever stayed at. As long as they are vacation renting I will be reserving a spot!

Thank you so much for sharing this perfect family retreat! this last min getaway was the ideal time for my wife and me to decompress from the real world luckily we found the ideal place to do just that (but also has great wifi speed, cell service works, etc so it's not a forced withdrawal of all electronic screens lol) My family has been renting/leasing homes on flathead every summer for 15+ years, you don't see this caliber of chrasftsmenrship or find a nightly rental with the attention to detail as we saw here. Also Jenna the host was amazing and made you feel so welcome. Lastly, never did this home feel like a vacation rental it felt like a home and for a week it was our home. We are already planning our next trip to bring the kiddos out!

This VRBO is the most pleasant and well appointed house we have ever rented - and we have been renting for 15 years now. We were three generations traveling to experience Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park. Each one of us was delighted with the place! Jenna has thought of everything and it is all top of the line. Cooking in her kitchen was a delight - really good knives and pots/pans. Beds were fabulous. Furniture was so comfortable. It truly had every extra you could want. The kayaks, SUP's and canoe were used multiple times per day and the views were better than the photos. If you are debating between this house and others, just book this house. You won't regret it. My only reservation with leaving this review is that it may be rented when we want to return!

LOVED THIS COZY CABIN ON BEAUTIFUL FLATHEAD LAKE!

I must start my saying that we own a premier property in the mountains, elsewhere in Montana, that we also rent on vrbo. And that I am a self proclaimed snob when it comes to vacation properties; rarely do I leave 10 star reviews! I believe in providing guests with the ultimate experience in luxury and comfort. Well, this cabin does both, and then some! Not only is it a charming, cozy cabin on one of the most beautiful lakes in the country, but the attention to detail that the owners have taken in remodeling and decorating the interior is remarkable. Such true craftsmanship is hard to find these days. You will not find any "big box store" decor in here. The furnishings are well appointed and luxurious, as are the bath towels and bed linens. The kitchen was a dream, with a high end coffee maker, espresso maker, and any other appliance you might need. Communication with the owner, Jenna, was very prompt. She was very helpful in offering to provide assistance, or additional items we needed during our stay (she even brought her personal hand mixer down for us to borrow.) We were so thankful to have this comfortable cabin as our "home base" for a long, busy weekend, as my daughter had her wedding at a local camp. We hope to visit the area again someday, and would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

Fabulous Home & Views on Flathead Lake!

We absolutely loved staying at this home during our trip to Montana. This is hands down one of the best vacation rentals I’ve experienced. The decor was beautiful, the kitchen was top notch, beds were extremely comfortable and the layout with two floors both with fabulous lake views allowed for plenty of space for rest and relaxation. The amenities that came with the thoughtfully decorated home were above and beyond from the welcome basket of goodies, Kayaks and paddle boards, hot tub, fire pit with complimentary s’more making ingredients, chairs by the lake down to the heated bathroom floor and shower products. Everything was so comfortable - beds, couch, chairs, etc. Jenna was so great to communicate with and very accommodating considering our reservation requests was last minute. Loved looking at the book with before and after renovation picture. Truly appreciate the love and thoughtfulness put into the cabin renovation. Boy, is it AMAZING!

Wow - What a great place!

If you are able, splurge on this fantastic rental. We found it difficult to leave the property and do anything else - it was that wonderful. If you're inside the views are amazing, if outside, even more amazing. We enjoyed the peace and quiet in such beautiful surroundings. The home has everything you need for your stay, and then some. Sitting lakeside, taking a dip in the cool water, kayaking, paddleboarding, wildlife watching - we loved it!

I love to travel and always take note of things I loved about the homes I've visited. So many times, it's the well-thoughtout vacation rental that has made my time in locations around the world so memorable. I hope to do the same for our guests!

Why they chose this property

I grew up on this idealic bay. It is one of the few lakefront locations that is protected from the wake of the ever-changing Flathead Lake. We are surrounded by nature, thanks to a local camp owning much of the perimeter of our bay, thus limiting development. We love watching the osprey dive for fish, paddle boarding around the little island at the end of the bay, and sitting out on the deck taking in the trees reflecting on the glassy water.

What makes this property unique

Our location offers 150 ft of beautiful Flathead Lake frontage (with gently-sloped lawn, fire pit, kayaks, pebble beach, grass penninsula, hot tub...all right on the water.) Our peaceful bay isn't over-crowded like many locations on Flathead Lake. We can see across the lake to the Mission Mountains, yet feel tucked away in the calm of the bay. On our half acre property, there's a feeling of seclusion that is hard to find on Flathead Lake. We're a short drive to the town of Lakeside and Blacktail Mountain for skiing in the winter, and about 45 min- 1hr from Glacier National Park and Whitefish (great food and shopping).
