Peace of the Mountains- Rest, Relax, and Enjoy

Nestled in the Moreno Valley town of Angel Fire, sits a 3 bed/ 2 bath/ 2 story cabin, ready for your vacation needs. Surrounded by trees, Peace of the Mountains sleeps up to 8.

The master bedroom, located upstairs, has an en-suite bath, walk-in closet, and sitting area. At the top of the stairs is a loft overlooking the family room. The remaining bedrooms and bathroom are located on the main level. The first downstairs bedroom features a queen bed and the second has two sets of bunk beds, sleeping 4. The downstairs bath features a double vanity and bathtub/ shower combination.

The kitchen is fully stocked and has full-size range, refrigerator, and dishwasher making cooking and cleaning easy. The coffee maker accommodates k-cups as well as a regular carafe. The open concept counter allows for easy conversation between the kitchen and living areas.

Relaxing in the living room is easy. Put your feet up in front of the fireplace and enjoy the great mountain views out the floor-to-ceiling windows. Or step out on the large deck to enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Ideally situated, the cabin sits 1.4 miles from the grocery store and 2.4 miles from the ski lifts. The country club is 3 miles away. Angel Fire isn't just for the winter traveler. The rest of the year you can enjoy fishing, mountain biking, hiking, golfing, and much more.

The location is very peaceful. Love the wrap around porch! Elk, deer and turkey came by the cabin. The interior is roomy and clean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. I highly recommend this cabin for families. This is second time to rent this cabin.

This is our second stay in this wonderful house. It has been lovely each time. It’s the perfect location for our family. It’s very close to the ski mountain and grocery store. There is always wildlife and great sleding as an added bonus! We will absolutely be back!

This place was better than expected. Love the location, somewhat secluded but close to everything in Angel Fire. The deck is awesome! Enjoyed the deer and other wildlife that came by. The beds are very comfy. This would be a great place for a family. Will definitely stay here again!

Lovely home on a beautiful property

Situated close to Angel Fire Resort, this property has everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen, spacious living spaces, awesome deck and porch overlooking a green space. Interactions and communication with the owner were easy and super friendly. I would highly recommend staying here. In fact, it was my second visit, since I liked it so much the first time!

Great place for a relaxing getaway

Great mountain cabin to get away. Great setup with a homey feel. Would definitely recommend for a great place to stay while skiing. Kitchen was set up nicely all the appliances you could need ( crockpot and ninja foodie) so that you don’t have to worry about getting dinner on the table after a day on the slopes. Would definitely recommend. A+++

Great Home in Angel Fire

I highly recommend the home. It was very well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen had all that you will need for big family meals. Good Wifi for all the kids devices. I also like the master suite upstairs for some separation.

Winter ski getaway

We enjoyed staying at this lovely cabin for the second time. We had about 2 feet of new snow while we were there and enjoyed playing around the cabin and feeding and watching the deer. The roads were plowed regularly and we were able to get around ok without 4 wheel drive. We did use chains to help get in and out. The cabin had plenty of room for our family of 6. Would definitely stay again.

The Cabin in the Woods

Oven had some issues and would heat on bake. Water pressure was really an issue with showering. Cabin is well appointed and comfortable.

Absolutely Wonderful

We absolutely loved the house and the location. I went with my parents, my children and my 2 grandchildren who were 2 year's old. We didn't have to leave the house for the babies to enjoy the snow. Was able to sled, throw snow balls, feed deer and make a snow man all on property!! The house was beautiful and cozy!! We felt right at home!! We will be returning next year!!!

Perfect Place in Angel Fire

Great cabin with a perfect layout for our family! It seems more spacious than the square footage suggests due to well-placed furniture, windows and lofty ceilings. Bunk room accommodated all our kids plus a friend and the master bedroom nook accommodated a mattress when our youngest became ill with an ear infection. Lovely snow covered views of nature and daily visits by the deer added to our enjoyment AND all of this is so close to the ski area! Every conceivable convenience was provided for, including an air fryer and slow cooker so we were able to have meals ready when we came off the slopes. We’ve added this home to our favorites and will absolutely make a return trip!

Summer Getaway

We had a wonderful stay in Angel Fire for the 4th summer! The home was clean, WELL stocked (kitchen items, blankets, towels, extra propane, etc), and the location was close to everything we like to do while in AF. Our kids loved playing/riding their bikes in the driveway, watching the birds eating, and our daily visits from the deer. The owners stock the home with bird seed, deer corn, and ingredients to make hummingbird food. What a nice touch! We really enjoyed staying on a dead end street and being able to walk to hiking trails. Our stay was wonderful!

Things to improve

The home was mostly fine. I would suggest just a couple of improvements: 1) improve the bed in the master bedroom. The mattress is not in good shape. 2) Have the property management company confirm the frequency of cleaning. There was an over abundance of expired flies. 3) Either put the fireplace on an electronic shutoff timer or a switch that can shutoff remotely because if the fireplace is on for just a short time, the bottom of the mantle gets pretty hot.

Best Cabin in the Area for winter or summer!

This cabin is in the perfect location to visit not only Angel Fire, but also Taos, Cimmaron, and many other amazing places in the area. The cabin is well maintained and is very clean. We didn't have to eat out much, because the kitchen is fully equipped with utensils and cookware. The grocery store was just up the street, but we did enjoy eating at the The St. James in Cimmaron and Orlando's in Taos. We did some sight seeing around the area also. We visited the Vietnam Memorial, The Grist Mill in Cimmaron, and the Gorge. There were quite a few street vendors along the way. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the back porch while watching the wildlife in the back yard. There were chipmunks, ground squirrels, mule deer, hummingbirds, rabbits, stellar jays and so much more! It was quite enjoyable and relaxing to watch them all. This cabin was the perfect place for me and my sisters to spend a week relaxing, laughing, catching up and just being sisters. I would definitely vacation at this cabin again, summer or winter!
