4 cooks, 3 generations cooking in the kitchen at the same time having a grand time says it all! We've stayed at many condos and Hygge Lodge is one of the best.
This home is exactly as listed and was perfect for our annual family ski vacation. An older home with an excellent location close to the ski hill, just a very short walk to the main ski village. We mostly ate in and managed to find what equipment we needed to make meals for 9. Has an old fashioned cozy ski cabin feel. Excellent communication with hosts who went out of their way to make our stay great. Lots of stairs so if you have mobility issues you might want to choose a different place.
The property met all of our needs. Two family’s for a ski vacation, lots of room for everyone. Kitchen had all the necessities, nice towels in the bathrooms, five minute walk to the main lodge and lifts. Home is quite rustic and bathrooms a bit dated but it added to the overall atmosphere for our group. We would definitely stay here again.
3 generations of family fun. Every family had their own floor with enough space for sleep and dinners and games. So close to all the amenities of Panorama. Grandkids loved the gondola. Pickleball courts and hot pools with the water slides. And then to all gather together at Hygge Lifge. A great family getaway
It’s a beautiful place that comfortably fits 8 people who can socialize, or enjoy their own spaces. Literally a 3 minute walk away from the lifts, you can roll out of bed and be skiing within 20 minutes. Rustic enough to be instantly comfortable with well appointed amenities, and super responsive owners.
The house was exactly what you want for a ski trip. The back gate let us out steps from the base, the house was beautiful, and we had access to the hot pools. The front stairs are impressive so I wouldnt recommend for any elderly/young children/limited mobility, but for an active group ready to ski their brains out you couldn't do better!

Thank you for being such wonderful guests and treating our property and house with respect. Glad to hear your family enjoyed their stay!
A beautiful rustic cabin a short walk from the ski hill. Well maintained. All the amenities. We were a family of 4 so tons of space. A few appliance issues but host was willing to try and resolve. Lots of stairs but a good workout for your legs. Would definitely stay again. Dr T.

Hi Tara,
Thank you for your thoughtful review. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest! You'll be happy to know that both the microwave and the toaster have been replaced! Your patience and kindness while dealing with the inconvenience were truly appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back again soon!
Sincerely,
Carolyn
We really enjoyed our time in the cabin and we loved the location. Once we parked the cars we never used them again for our stay. And having access to the community pool/hot tubs was fantastic. The cabin has some nice updates (e.g. bathrooms) but could use some freshening up, especially the kitchen. If you're planning to go with a group and save some money by cooking at "home", then this place may not be for you, especially if you enjoy cooking. Kitchen needs an update with quality cookware and a better/bigger stove. Also, we expected to use the bbq when we got there and unfortunately the two tanks were empty. Communication was a little slow initially with this regard, but once we were in touch the problem was resolved with very friendly and responsive communication. Overall we had a great stay.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The house is in very poor condition
The house in general is in very, very poor condition. Only one shower (in the three bathrooms) was usable. The first-floor shower/tub faucet is leaking constantly; little water makes it to the shower head; the tub is stained and disgusting; the heating isn’t sufficient. The second-floor tub is also extremely stained as is the shower curtain. There is water leaking by the wood ceiling above the tub. The third-floor shower faucet mechanism necessary to activate the shower head is broken. There is not enough hot water for two subsequent showers. Even though the large light in the dining room is shown as working in the VRBO pictures it is not connected to the electricity therefore it is too dark to have dinner there. The dishwasher doesn’t work properly. The beds are totally uncomfortable; some have taken on a “banana” shape. The air hockey table doesn’t work properly. A section of the exterior walkway railing is detached from the post making it a security problem; as well all the nails/screws in this area are exposed. There is a pile of junk outside which provides a disgusting view when you open the curtains of the lower-level bedroom. Most of us suffered sinus problems during the stay which would suggest there is mold present. The house is not clean: there are spider webs everywhere; the oven is filthy dirty; the light switches and thermostats are filthy dirty. The fireplace door was so dirty you can’t see the fire through the glass. There are no basic supplies (no cleaning products, no containers for leftovers, no sugar for the coffee, not a single spice, not a single Kleenex box, nothing to scrub pots).

The guest did not communicate once during their stay to the owner expressing any concerns. Instead, they waited nine days to tell us they wanted a full refund or they would post a bad review. The reviews of the property speak for themselves.
A group of 8 women rented this house for a week in order to enjoy the many local golf courses. The house was spacious, has 3 full washrooms, a well equipped kitchen and lots of living space. It was so nice to sit outside and in together, including at the very large dining table. We would recommend it for anyone, as long as you have no mobility issues as there many steps to negotiate. It was great exercise for our group of women though. Thank you to the home owner for making it available to us.
Everything was as advertised! Amazing location. Carolyn was excellent to deal with, and responded quickly! Lots of room for the 9 of us, we will be back!
Great location for kids and families. The communication was excellent with the host before and during our stay. The property was extremely clean and well organized for larger groups. A real nice cabin feel in Panorama - would recommend for families!
We were 10 in total for a few days of skiing. Ages from 13-45. A perfect fit for us. Plenty of sleeping spaces. We loved the main living room with the huge dining room table.
Only 100 yard walk to the lifts and a great boot room to dry out all our gear each night. Would highly recommend staying here.
We rented this house to unite our family under one roof for a 3 day ski vacation. Unfortunately Covid happened and half our group had to stay home. The stairs from the parking to the front door were unbelievably high and very icy. This is my fault as I got carried away with the house and location and missed the stairs. But there had been no mention of those stairs in any reviews. With a group that supposed to include 5 grandchildren aged 1-9, these stairs were definitely an issue. However the house itself was wonderful. There are many decks and it would be a great location in the summer
We were a mixed family, grandparents with our children's families consisting of parents and two children each (aged between 9 and 15 years old). The location of the house was perfect - 5-minute walk to the ski hill and the pools, beautiful views from the living room, easy walk to the store and other facilities at Panorama. The house size was great for a group of 10, while we were able to spend the evenings by the fireplace on the main floor. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Overall this was an excellent holiday and break we all needed.
Lovely home, lots of room for six adults and four children. Although the weather wasn’t the greatest, there was lots of fun things to do. Panorama offers so much, pools, hiking, downhill mountain biking. The house was well stocked with games, puzzles, books.
We were all excited to see deer on the property, but the coolest thing was a small black bear wandering thru the property one morning.
Definitely a great retreat, enjoyed by all!

Perfect for a family vacation
Beautiful house, great location. Awesome number of beds and full bathrooms. Well appointed kitchen with all the equipment you’d need. Not many pantry staples provided so need to plan ahead and bring your own.

Great Place to Stay!!!
This cabin was a perfect for our group of 10. We were all very comfortable and had tons of space within the house. The common areas were set up very well for socializing and the large wrap around deck was a huge bonus. Not to mention the patio outside as well.
Carolyn was great to deal with and we were not disappointed when staying here. Would definitely recommend it to others and would absolutely stay here again!

The Perfect Getaway!
What an amazing stay. Comfortable beds, lots of room for 3 families to relax without getting in each other's way. Well-stocked kitchen and lots of games and puzzles for the kids. Only a minute's walk to the pools and the rest of the village activities. We loved looking at the beautiful views of the mountains from the deck and sitting in the back courtyard around the fire. Looking forward to staying here during the ski season!!
