WE ARE IN LA SELVA BEACH - NOT PAJARO DUNES AS VRBO HAS MISTAKENLY LOCATED US AND REFUSES TO CORRECT

This updated unit has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms plus a large bonus room. The living room has a gas log fireplace perfect for those cool beach evenings. There is a separate formal dining area plus an informal breakfast bar. The kitchen is totally remodeled and fully equipped.

There are two ocean front decks perfect for summer BBQ. All bedrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen have an ocean view. There are fire rings on the beach for summer bonfire fun. There are 3 TV's, VCR, DVD and complete stereo system with C.D., cassette deck and Bose speakers.

Direct access to the beach from this spacious, updated townhouse located on Manressa Beach. Behind this private gated community, is the perfect vacation getaway for any beach lover. Just sit, relax and watch pelicans, whales and otters. Or get out and enjoy the surf and sand right outside your back door.

Lovely week spent on a beautiful beach watching birds,dolphins and whales. Very private location but home had everything you might need except close grocery store.

Great location

Three bedrooms plus a fold out couch in the TV room. Kitchen very well equipped very nice dining table the room all look out on the beach. It’s our second year here and we were like it. The hostess is easy to reach and happy to give any information that we asked.

Relax by the ocean

I am old and handicapped and wanted a property where I could enjoy an ocean view and this was perfect. While there are three flights of stairs I could manage easily. I have rented other properties in the past and Cynthia was the best by far at communicating all the needed information.

The vacation home was awesome! The views were beautiful from every room. The beds were comfy and rooms decorated nicely. The kitchen had everything you would ever need to make a meal. We used the fire pit every night on the beach. Walked on the beach daily and found lots of shells and sand dollars. Only 20 min from boardwalk hustle. It was nice to come back to tranquility at night to hear the ocean from your bed. My family can't wait to go back again next year. Thank you Cynthia for the use of your beautiful home.

Perfect Beach Front Stay

We've rented one of these beach row homes in this neighborhood along the coast for years for our annual family beach week, and this one is definitely one of our favorites! Clean, comfortable, and well - appointed with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The bonus room is definitely a plus, as not all houses on this row have one. It's a perfect location and home base to access all the fun that the Monterrey Bay offers and then come home to a relaxing spot to hang out on the beach, a sunset stroll or enjoy the views of dolphins from the deck. Easy BBQs or beach bonfires too. As usual, our family had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back! :)

I echo the sentiment. In 22 years, never a bad review. We are reasonable and respectful and welcome guests that are the same. These guests were neither. Received neighbor complaint about loud music and 'flashing lights'. Contacted guest and they said they go everywhere with their 'disco' ball. And the loud music was Sinatra so that should be ok. More people than allowed by their own admission - said they always intended to 'gather' at our house despite the 8 person limit because the rule was unreasonable. We are NOT a party house. It is disrespectful to our neighbors, causes excessive wear on our home. Guidelines are clearly stated in multiple places when booking. No surprises. Home was spotless when they arrived.

Quietly Beautiful Ocean Retreat

Our group was three couples: Me and my husband, our son & gf, and our daughter and bf. The “kids” are in their 20s. We had a lovely stay!! The house is directly on the beach. Walk down the stairs and your toes will be in the sand. You will hear the surf all night long. It’s beautiful! This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Everything is lovely, clean, and beautifully decorated. The beach is a private beach, so it is nearly empty at all times. It’s the perfect getaway! This beach is rural. You will need to drive to get to shops, restaurants, etc. This was not a problem for us. We loved it there. It’s a fairly easy drive (25 minutes) up to Santa Cruz boardwalk or down to Monterey (45mins) to go to the aquarium. I have nothing bad to say about our stay. Everything was perfect!!

Once again....wonderful!

LOVE this home. Very well kept, clean, and comfortable. Stepping out the bottom floor rooms, down a few stairs, and onto the sand is just the icing on the cake. Kitchen is well appointed. Provided linens and towels are a wonderful + too. Everything has its spot and it tidily labelled. I love that! The week goes by way to fast and we are never ready to leave. The only thing I would change is having a TV on the main floor in the main room. (There is one one the main floor in the 'playroom', but the kids take that one over!) Can't wait to go back next year!!

We have reserved the living room as the only room in the entire house with out a tv to take in the beauty and enjoyment of the beach and the ocean sounds.

Amazing Wildlife

We were blessed with great weather and the wildlife was truly amazing. We saw dolphins almost every day, a lone baby seal that was sunning on the beach and then returned to the ocean, a few bats, and tons of really interesting birds. We couldn't stop watching the brown pelicans!! Plus, the locals and their dogs were fun to watch. The condo was really nice with all the luxuries, but I had forgotten about the steps. I had leg surgery last year and the steps and the sand made it a little difficult. The location is close to Seascape and Capitola for shopping and restaurants, which was handy. It was strange, but it seemed like everything happened right in front of our particular condo. I would definitely recommend it!

Location made up for all the hiccups but won’t stay with this host again Pros Location Layout worked well with Littles Good beach equipment Cons Communication Check in and out instructions not sent other than at first booking We did all dishes pots pans etc before leaving and simply left a few water bottles and pizza boxes towel in the wash and in front of it as we were rushing out by 10am with 3 toddlers and a prego Got a slew of angry texts about how we didn’t clean well enough and the house cleaner couldn’t do her job of just basic cleaning. Owner wants to get away with the bare minimum while charging a $300+ cleaning fee

Guest left property a mess. Wet towels all over the floor, trash, beer bottles, Extra 2 hours of cleaning. Disrespectful guests. Would never rent to them again. $300 goes to 'cleaning' not picking up a week of trash, It only partially covers regular professional window cleaning, weekly professional laundry services, professional carpet and upholstery cleaning, deep cleaning. We pay more every year in cleaning than we ask for from guests. We just ask for people to be respectful of our property. Multiple emails sent with information.

Wonderful property!

We had a fantastic time. The property is on a GREAT location, just steps to the beach. We surfed, had fires, played games and chilled at the property, and it's just a short drive to Monterey for fishing and whale watching. There was enough room for 7 of us to be comfortable and everything we needed was there. Would be happy to come back again!

Much needed vacation

Amazing location and just steps to the beach! The house had everything we needed and then some. The house is three stories so there are lots of stairs and then more stairs down to the beach. You get a good workout everyday! We enjoyed long morning walks, afternoon relaxing and beautiful sunsets on the beach. We also loved sitting out on the deck, with drinks in hand, and enjoying the sounds of the ocean and scenery. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Christmas

We enjoyed the place so much that we have already booked again for next Christmas! Right on a large, clean beautiful beach. We enjoyed spending time on the upper deck watching and listening to the crashing waves. The condo is very livable with all of comforts of home. The owner/ manager is readily available, very helpful and pride of ownership is obvious.

Cozy, though 8 of us slept extremely comfortably with 3 bathrooms. Sparlking clean. Everything in good working order in the kitchen. Management always available for questions. Can't think of anything I'd change. Plenty of bags for garbage.

Great Weekend Getaway

We had a fantastic time at La Selva beach. We are two families with kids that just wanted to get away for a long weekend from the grind of the day to day. This property is such a gem, the views were amazing, direct access to the beach is a must with a bunch of kids. The decor was tasteful and comfortable. The house is tiered into the mountain, so you actually enter at the very top level, which is one bedroom & bathroom, walk down some stairs to the main living area/dining/kitchen & "tv lounge" extra room, then the lowest level is 2 bedrooms. Also, the upstairs loft bedroom actually has a pull screen so it can be a private bedroom. Everything was well appointed and we found literally everything we needed. The kitchen especially was magical because I'd brought a cookie kit to make for my daughters birthday and realized it was much more labor intensive then i expected. But voila, they had every tool, bowl, and device I needed! The beach is gorgeous, and super private, since there is just a handful of houses on this stretch. The kids roamed free like wildlings while the adults adulated on the deck! We even made s'mores one night with the fire ring they provide!! Magical!! We would definitely stay here again!
