Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review so others can know that our cabin is a special sanctuary. We are so glad that you enjoy it a lot and have come back as a returning guest. We hope to spend more time at our cabin when we can retire someday but for now it’s only a few times a year for us. Thank you for being a considerate guest!
Really peaceful retreat away from technology with comforts from home. Spent my time in the hammock or the chair swing outside. Many hover flies which became a pest but nothing you can really do about them and they go away at night. Was a little scared our first night with no blinds on the windows and being so remote and so dark outside, but quickly adjusted. I'm gonna have to find how I can get one of those quilts made! wonderful!
Quite spot with a large deck and a great view. If you like getting away from everything this is the place, it was great to get a break from the internet and just enjoy a good book.

Thank you for booking our special cabin and for posting a review. Our favorite thing is to read on the deck and rock in the Amish rockers. Glad you enjoyed your visit! Please come again some day.
Outdoor porch fireplace was absolutely amazing ! Ease of use, convenience, kitchen ! Loved everything ! Only thing I would change would be the toilet seat back to the more common kind. Not complaining because everything else was absolutely amazing! Cooked all meals either on the grill or in the fireplace !

Beautiful, clean, quiet property. Host was very accommodating and quick to reply with any questions we had. Cabin is just as advertised, only surprise was that the views were even better than pictured.

We so appreciate your kind review. We feel it’s appropriate to provide free firewood for guests so that you can have a wonderful experience of having a cozy fire in either the living room fireplace or the one under the front porch. We are glad you had a good time at our cabin and hope you’ll come again.
The house is amazing! It has so much to offer. The scenery, the peaceful surroundings. It was like a home away from home and our little king charles felt right at home. The benches out by the outside fireplace reminded me of the ones my parents had. We really had a nice time.
We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin. The setting was incredibly peaceful, surrounded by nature, and the cabin itself was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind away from the noise of everyday life.We truly enjoyed every moment and would absolutely stay here again.
The cabin and location were absolutely amazing. The Hosts answered all my questions promptly and were amazing.

Aw thanks for booking our cabin AND taking the time to write a review. We are happy you had a great visit. We hope you might come back again in the future. We have a lot of guests who come once or twice per year. :)
Communication and flexibility were top-notch. The cabin was beautiful plenty of beds no TV so you were able to completely unplug.. very private the dogs enjoyed being able to run. Location was about 30 to 45 minutes from so many hiking trails and overlooks. Beautiful mountain views plenty of firewood to keep the fireplace burning inside and outside our entire stay! thank you again for a wonderful experience!

About the host

Our dog and boy love visiting our cabin as much as we do. We love getting back to our Amish roots and making jam and canning vegetables. This cabin is a quiet place with room to have a large family gathering on the deck. We love spending time with family here, playing games, baking cookies, walking the property with our dog.
Why they chose this property
My husband grew up across the mountain in the small town of Belleville, PA. We wanted a place to call our own when we visit family in the area and found an excellent Amish craftsman to build a cabin for us that will be around long after we are gone.
What makes this property unique
The huge deck with great views of the mountain really set our place apart from others in the area. The inside and outside custom stone fireplaces are a unique feature as well. Not far from the highway, but feels very isolated and peaceful.
