We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "Hideaway" in Groveland. The vacation home is beautifully and thoughtfully furnished and very comfortable. We took my elderly mother their for a getaway and it was perfect and easy for her to navigate with her cane (3-4 stairs at the back entrance). We stayed in Groveland due to it's proximity to Yosemite (a 75-90 minute drive to the valley floor) and it worked out great. The checkout process was very easy and they only ask for minimal "clean up" upon leaving. Debi and Vineet were great "remote hosts" and very easy to communicate with before, during and after our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

I would come again :). All was great, communication spot on, everything we needed. I would recommend bring a water filter as the water wasn’t the best (even out of the fridge) but that is workable. Kitchen well stocked, beds are very comfortable (firm in a good way). Lovely views and very peaceful.

When planning for this trip to Yosemite, I planned and booked 6 months in advance to have a number of lodging choices and an Early Bird discount. Our family of 8 didn't want our weekend at the Woodsy Hideaway to end and loved our stay here. The property was clean, very well maintained, and very organized. From the furniture, to the kitchen appliances, pots, pans, plates and utensils, and towels and bedding; everything felt like quality and things that we would like to use in our own home. Instructions and labels around the house made things easy to find and answered many of our questions. Debi was also helpful and responsive in answering questions about the rental before we arrived, The weather was pleasant to warm while there and we would find ourselves on the front deck eating, play games, or relaxing with a book during the day with the beautiful view. At night we grilled food and streamed movies. We also took advantage of our close proximity to the pool and spent a few hours there. Note: The pool can reach capacity and you may have to wait. Of course we did go to Yosemite as well and ventured to the Tioga Pass side which we had not been to before. It took about 1hr and 40min to get to the Tuolume Meadows Visitor Center from this location. A couple notes: We came on a busy weekend and there was a long line of cars to check into the community. It took us about 20-30min to get in. Also the tap water is a little cloudy and we brought drinking water.

The home was very clean and had everything we needed we traveled with kids! I made dinner and breakfast and everything was there to use! Even baking sheet to make cookies at night! We loved the home and want to come back!

I stayed at this mountain retreat for 2 days with 4 other family members. Directions to get there were accurate. The host communicated with us well and sent all instructions we needed The place was clean, cozy and comfortable. There were deer that visited in the backyard each morning and were delightful to see. I would love to stay here again if I visit.

Can’t stay away

This was our 3rd stay at the Hideaway Cabin. The Hideaway is one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in. From the views, to the amenities to the comfy beds everything is always perfect. This trip we went to Yosemite, jumped from the high ledges at the Rainbow Pools, stuffed ourselves full of ice cream from the mercantile and watched the PML fireworks. I cannot recommend this cabin more!

Great Place

The cabin was well furnished, appointed and comfortable. The most spectacular part of the cabin was the covered deck off the front, what a wonderful place to gather for morning coffee and meals throughout the day
