Looking for a cozy getaway in the "Moose Viewing Capital of Colorado"? Welcome to the Majestic Moose Cabin! This 380-square-foot retreat is located in town, newly refinished while still showcasing the character and charm of its historic roots. The open one-room layout includes a full bathroom, cozy kitchenette, dining space, and a comfortable living area. Sleeping arrangements feature a custom queen-sized murphy bed and sofa (if additional sleeping space is needed), making it a perfect stay for couples.

Enjoy your fresh caught trout and/or some elk steaks in the backyard on the BBQ grill! Or, if cooking isn't your specialty, the cabin is within walking distance to local restaurants/bars!

While you are in Walden, be sure to keep an eye out for one of our majestic moose!

*No smoking/vaping/marijuana use is allowed in the cabin. *
**Dogs welcome (maximum of 2) with prior approval and agreement to Pet Addendum. $25 pet fee.**

This was an adorable place to stay in Walden! The home was cozy and well decorated, and our host was friendly and very responsive! The bed is a hideaway that folds back up onto the wall, but it was very comfortable and we were able to fit ourselves and two pups in the home with no issue. Thank you so much for hosting us!

The tiny home was perfect....everything you need but not fancy. The cabin was around the corner from the main street so we were able to walk everywhere. The Riverfront Cafe and Zirkel Mountain Pies (aka pizza) were both exceptional eating places. There's a regular grocery store just outside town. Everyday we ventured into the State Forest along Co 41 but didn't see moose....lots of other critters though! Don't forget to visit the Moose Visitor Center on 14. And what beautiful scenery! Finally, on our way out of town for the last time....we saw a bull moose. Overall this was a perfect get away! The hosts were always available via text and made sure our stay was just right. Thank you for a great time!

My husband and I moved to Walden on our 1st wedding anniversary 27 years ago from the corn and wheat fields of Nebraska and Kansas. We fell in love with this area and have been blessed to raise our 2 sons here! They both go to Colorado Mesa University and we are excited to welcome a new daughter-in-law to our family in June! We love to Jeep, go for long Harley rides, visit our boys, and watch college sports!

I love being able to share this beautiful area with others!
