The host seemed extremely nice, and the place was great for me and my buddies, we ended up having 6 guys that spent a weekend. 2 of the Bedrooms are spaced out a little bit which is nice if you have snorers, everything worked as expected, and there was a good pile of firewood next to the wood burner for the cold nights! Beds/pillows were to my liking as well, comfy!
Great location in downtown Walden. Easy to walk to Main Street. Great host. Felt pretty spacious. Would recommend some cups/glasses/plates in the kitchen and the kitchen needed some help with cabinet and fridge cleaning.
Overall the house was comfortable and served our purposes for our stay in Waldon. We enjoyed staying in the house. The Managers were friendly. They promptly responded when we had an inquiry. We all enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate by ok’ing again.
Very comfortable little house. But it is an old cabin that has been added on to, and only one bathroom. Worked great for our hunting group of 7 (5 hunters and 2 kids). Great location in downtown Walden. Property managers very helpful and responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for the kind review. Hopefully you will stay again next year and fill some tags..
It was a nice, although slightly outdated, cabin. Be prepared that there is not a way of circulating air, because windows don't open, but after getting a cross-breeze, from the front and back doors, in the evenings it cooled quickly, which was welcomed after days in the upper 90s. We appreciated the space, number of rooms/beds for our group of 9. The host was great and answered almost of my questions.
The house was just what we were looking for with our trip to Colorado and hopes of seeing a moose. The historic house had the charms and quirks that come with a building that old. We appreciated the abundance of rooms and beds, and the kids appreciated the wi-fi That said, if you are looking for a rental with a well equipped kitchen this might not be your choice. There are pots and pans, but some basics like cutting boards are not to be found Even with that, we would go back again for the close access to State Forest State Park and Mt. Zirkel Wilderness.
It was a great fit for our large family plus the mother in law. The character of the old house with the extra details of the tree for hanging clothes, white Christmas lights and a wood stove made it very inviting and cozy. The only thing that my mother in law said that would make it better is having some extra mirrors in the bedrooms so folks could do their makeup or hair outside of the one bathroom available.

Nice yard and Fence!
The cabin was roomy. The list of deferred maintenance items was quite long.Repairs are costly and not fun, but sometimes you have to do them. The owner was very niceEverything was clean but the oven was pretty bad.Best fence and yard ever!
I grew up in Colorado and after spending 18 years in North Carolina, we decided to move back. We love all the outdoor activities throughout the different seasons up here in the mountains. We enjoy hosting because we love to see others be able to get out and explore the beauty of nature around us.
Why they chose this property
I grew up spending my summers up here in the Walden/ Gould area and it has always held a special place in my heart with the mountains surrounding me and all the adventures that await. With endless activities such as hiking, horseback riding, SXS trails to explore, lakes for fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking, hunting, snowmobiling, ice fishing and more; you will be sure to find your next adrenaline rush hidden within the fluttering aspens and whispering pines that immerse our mountains.
What makes this property unique
Every house in town has its own uniqueness, since many of them have been here since the early founding days of our town. There is nothing cookie cutter up here. Our house in particular is unique for its vibrant colors and old logs that makes this cozy little cabin such a nice retreat. Located in the center of town, you are not far from the local restaurants, bar, bowling alley and little shops to visit in between any outdoor activates.
