The cottage was well equipped and offered plenty of room. Location is great to downtown Fairhope. We enjoyed our girls trip to this quaint town. Great shopping and food.
This little cottage was perfectly located just blocks from the charming Fairhope downtown. My Mom, daughter and I had a great time and a comfortable stay in the house with nice linens, well appointed kitchen and cozy front room for morning coffee chats.
Very nice house in great location. Walking distance to restaurants, library, post office and parks. House is right next to the Castle too. Tv's in every room, great ac, and lots of room & hot water.
Great location, clean property, pull out could be better. Really only downside was that roofing contractors knocked on door at 7am and asked us to move vehicle as they were going to work on roof.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As the manager, I had no idea that roofers were coming during your stay and I apologize for this. I wasn't notified of this happening. Please come visit us again!
From reserving, to check in, it went without a hitch. Being walkable to downtown Fairhope allowed us to shop, dine, have happy hours and walk back! ! Fairhope is a genuine “hallmark small town” with friendly people, great restaurants, shopping and FUN’ 6 of us from all over the southeast gathered for a reunion and were completely satisfied with accommodations, property manager & location! Would recommend!
I apologize, I do now see where you messaged two days before arrival asking about changing the dates to a later time. Unfortunately, we cannot change dates closer than 30 days to arrival because we have no way of booking the property again that close. Our cancellation policy is listed in the terms. Again, I apologize for my lack of response.
The house was very nice. Quiet area but in the heart of the city so everything was close by. The only thing that needs attention is the walk in shower in the bedroom. We could not use it as the door does not stay shut. And we chose this house because of the walk in shower as we had a handicapped individual with us, so this was a letdown. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
Location, location, LOCATION. Couldn’t ask for a better spot to explore downtown Fairhope. Place was cozy, but also roomy enough for eight guys. Backyard with open garage was the perfect touch as we spent most of nights catching up there. Highly recommend and could see myself making a return trip someday.
The location and lay out are great. It's an easy walk to downtown, and the parking was excellent.

Not for those with allergies. Pets allowed too much.
This is an old house that has been fixed up very tastefully. The house keeper did her job of cleaning it. But it has a lot of wear and dander from too many pets. AC ducts and grill pretty dirty. The owner seems to have lost interest in the place as yard was quite unkempt. For those who want a place to take their pets it is probably a good choice. Any rental that allows pets will have signs of pet damage and allergy issues esp if a converted old house. Location very good though. The scented linens are overpowering as this is often the case when trying to cover up pet odors. Better places do not allow pets and have unscented linens.

I appreciate your review, the gentleman that has been doing our yard service was ill and I've had a hard time finding a replacement timely. We do allow pets and are one of the few vacation rentals in Fairhope that does. We believe that is a good thing! I will follow up with cleaning service to do a deeper cleaning. Thank you for staying!
We had a great stay in Fairhope for our nephew's wedding. Loved being able to walk to all the great restaurants & shops, and enjoy the charm of the town from this clean and comfortable spot!
I visited Fair Hope in March 2021 with friends and fell in love with the laid back and charming feel of the area.. I decided to return with family and found 154 Bancroft on the VRBO site. We were impressed by the photos and location so chose this property.
Upon arriving, we found the location and condition of the home to be superb. It was open, roomy, impeccably clean, and quiet. We were able to walk to shopping and restaurants downtown and drive to the pier and waterfront area in no time.
We will definitely make 154 Bancroft our home away from home each time we vacation in Fair Hope! Many great memories were made during our stay! Thank you!
This house was perfect for our needs. Lots of parking, quiet neighborhood, comfortable rooms, and a useful kitchen. The kids had a place to go (4th bedroom) that was comfortable during the hottest part of the day where they could watch TV and there was just enough yard for them to have fun in the hose. We loved being able to walk to the local library and farmer's market, and even though we didn't go out to eat because of the pandemic, we could have walked to any number of downtown restaurants. Highly recommended for families!
It was very easy to rent this property and very easy to get in touch with the property manager. We went to Mardi Gras and this property was in the middle of all of the action. Walking distance to great restaurants and shops. Perfect location.
