About this property
The Chapel, Finstall nr Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
Exposed timbers, a feature stone fireplace, flagstone and oak floors – The Chapel has a wealth of period features and details to make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Yet the furnishings and fittings are decidedly twenty-first century, with modern comforts like a roll top bath and stylish furniture.
Throughout the property are stone arched windows, with glorious views out onto the unspoilt countryside beyond. A smart use of space puts the sitting room and kitchen on the first floor, making the most of the views. The estate around The Chapel contains a stream and orchard, where you can pick pears, apples and olives. The Chapel is set in its own private gravelled space with a six foot diameter cedar wood-fired hot tub.
The owners can organise a private chef for that extra special occasion; and guests can also enjoy pre-booked beauty treatments including luxurious facials and back massages using the Tropic skincare range at the on-site Wellness Suite, along with wellness sessions such as yoga and breath work (booking ahead essential). Crossbrook Farm Historic Estate can also organise a variety of day events such as retreat days for groups of up to 12 people which can include a variety of activities including yoga, breathwork, energy alignment and nutritional talks. Corporate events for businesses wishing to hold strategic away days or well-being events for staff including treatments in our wellness suite, skincare and healthcare talk and exercise classes can also be accommodated.
The grounds are shared with two other properties, Crossbrook Farm (sleeps six) and The Well House (sleeps two) which can be booked individually or together for the potential of sleeping ten guests.
There are plenty of walks a short distance from The Chapel, including the famous Monarch’s Way footpath that approximates Charles II’s escape route following the Battle of Worcester. The famous Tardebigge Flight, the longest flight of canal locks in the UK, is less than a mile away. Located approximately one mile away is the village of Aston Fields which comes alive in the evening with fabulous Italian and Indian restaurants, an American bistro providing authentic street food and the finest craft beers and cocktails, Wine Bar, Ladybird Public House and a restaurant linked to their adjoining butchers shop serving locally sourced dishes. Aston Fields also benefits from a recently opened railway station with regular services across the Midlands and beyond.
Additional Information: Sorry, no children or pets. The driveway to The Chapel features a stream which runs alongside the access drive and runs into a culvert. Beauty treatments and wellness sessions including yoga are available at the on-site Wellness Suite (booking ahead essential). A complimentary selection of Tropic products are supplied for guests' enjoyment. Within walking distance of pubs and restaurants. Private chef by prior arrangement. Electric car charging is available at an additional cost (please speak with the owner). Please note that due to the property being located in close proximity to a Horse Livery, fireworks are not permitted at any time. Sorry, no group parties (including Hen or Stag). Please advise if your stay is for a special occasion and the owners will endeavour to provide assistance. Care should be taken when using the stone staircase which is not suitable for children. Please note, this property cannot accommodate children 16 years or under. Due to the proximity of the other two premises and the rural nature of the Estate, we would ask for consideration to be given to other guests during their stay.

Truly unique and amazing property. Very convenient and close to sights and family we were visiting. Must be seen to appreciate the level of detail that has went into making this one of the most fun places you can stay at.
Hosts were exceptionally helpful, prompt detailed responses. Property was stunning, quirky and fascinating, with so many features. Grounds were perfectly manicured and wellness studio on site. Firepits and hot tubs were added bonuses. Lovely places to eat nearby too.
