Wonderful Stay

We drove up and were greeted by the resident cat, so we had a feeling we would love it… The receptionist booked us in and gave us a full tour of the apartment, with large sash windows on a dual aspect. The rooms themselves were large, airy and welcoming. The gardens are beautiful and we adored the Wisteria which smelt divine! The booking, checking in and out couldn’t have been easier, we do hope to come back in the future because we really enjoyed ourselves.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature

Always a great experience coming here. Relaxing environment and peaceful with beautiful gardens and surroundings. The pool and hot tub are a fantastic bonus with a booking system for private use which is very easy to navigate. Close to various day trips out and a lovely market town just down the road. Plenty of cafes in Thirsk - would recommend The Pantry and Peaches. Gorgeous food at Bianco’s (early bird menu definitely worth getting). We’re always look forward to our next stay.

A lovely relaxing week in a beautiful house and gardens

The peace and tranquillity of the grounds and the nearby North York Moors. It is very easy to get to the Dales, the Moors and the coast from Sutton Hall. York is a short drive away and there are many houses and gardens to visit nearby.

Room was clean and nice. The bed, however was sagging and not very comfortable resulting in some back discomfort.

Another relaxing holiday at Sutton Hall.

Stayed in the Sutton Suite with a wonderful view of the garden. Enjoy a stroll around the lovely grounds. Or a private swim in the indoor pool. An apartment that is lovely and clean. Visit the local villages and towns. Enjoy afternoon tea and cake or an evening meal at a choice of local restaurants and inns. Sight seeing in abundance including nearby North Yorkshire Moors or at trip to York.

Luxury but homely

We stayed for 1 night to celebrate my Mum's 70th birthday. We wanted a girl's night in away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Sutton Suite room was beautiful. The decor was very rich family 30s, with dresser and wall panelling but with a modern bright cleanliness to it. It felt very homely. We had an evening meal in the local pub and then had a pamper night. It was lots of fun and much better than a traditional hotel room. We loved it and hope to return again.
