Lovely stay, warm welcome!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sutton Hall, from the moment we arrived. Staff are very welcoming & friendly, accommodation was perfect for the 4 of us & the location is wonderful. Beautiful grounds set in 24 acres of woodland and lawns, perfectly situated to go out & about to Thirsk, Helmsley & beyond, it really is lovely. We only stayed one night, but would love to return! Would recommend in a heartbeat, 💯

An ideal retreat for a peaceful break in an idyllic setting.

We took advantage of the beautiful grounds and the swimming pool. It is in a good spot to visit Thirsk and York and there was plenty on offer nearby for our granddaughter.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sutton Hall Resort

We stayed in the Swaledale Cottage the accommodation was great with everything you could wish for in a self catering stay. Set in some stunning grounds which you have full access to and the facilities ie. - swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and lounge / communal area where all clean and tidy. Situated in a lovely quite area and with in easy reach of Thirsk town centre ( five minutes by car ). We found all the staff helpful and friendly, will definitely be booking again in the near future.

We’ll come back

We only allocated a short stay in Thirsk - our mistake and we’ll return for a longer stay. The accommodation lovely and check in the most organised of any of our stays in the UK.

We always enjoy our visits to Sutton Hall, it is well managed by a friendly and efficient team.

My parents were one of the first owners at Sutton Hall and my wife and I have visited regularly over the years. Our own children have grown up visiting and this year, for the first time, we have been delighted to have our first grandson join us for a few days. Not yet one he thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and we hope our family connection with Sutton Hall will continue for many years to come.

Very pleased with everything, place looks well cared for.

Nice weather always helps! Location brilliant and pleased to hear there are plans for the pub to reopen but hope it won’t be ultra sophisticated just straightforward fare as before. I know it’s nothing to do with Sutton Hall but would be an advantage in attracting people to stay. We loved being able to relax and sit outside. And impressed by the work gone into the wooded area. Thanks to all the staff.

Another week enjoyed at Sutton Hall

Despite summer turning to autumn, we enjoyed what might well be our last stay at Sutton Hall after over 20 years of membership. Our only reason for stepping away from membership is the distance we need to travel from home to North Yorkshire. Despite the autumn temperatures we enjoyed our recent week as much as we have enjoyed staying in all of the previous years.
