***COSY COTTAGE, with shared, seasonal pool, 4 mile walk along the river to York

2 Bed cottage set on private estate with use of shared, seasonal pool and grass tennis court open between the end of May and September. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting/dining room with wood burner. Enclosed, secure garden to the rear with outdoor seating and barbecue. Our cottage is situated between York and Harrogate on the River Ouse on a private estate of 70 acres with plenty of walks in the woods or along the river bank.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Great family base

As a family with a dog and toddler this is a great place to relax. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the location is peaceful.

Had the most amazing, relaxing stay. Hosts are extremely accommodating the free gifts on arrival were snapped up by our uni daughter 😊 couldn’t recommend enough.

Fabulous well equipped and comfortable cottage

We stayed at Signal cottage for 6 nights. Its was a truly wonderful find in a quiet private estate with very helpful and friendly owners. The cottage itself was superbly well equipped and very comfortable with a lovely garden and terrace. The estate is surrounded by beautiful countryside and we enjoyed some lovely walks along the river Ouse. The swimming pool was really perfect to cool down in when the sun came out. We could not recommend this place highly enough and are very grateful to Penny for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.

Peaceful cottage in rural setting

Well appointed, dog friendly cottage in the countryside near the river Ouse within a few miles of the city of York. The cottage has a garden and there are excellent walks for exercising dogs.

Quiet countryside cottage with all the amenities

Had 4 enjoyable days in this lovely, well equipped cottage. High quality welcome package with a good selection of items was very welcome. Went for walks around the place, including through the woods. Made use of the tennis court and the pool, although the water was on the cool side as the pool is outdoors. York and its amenities are within half an hour. Will thoroughly recommend.

Very nice place to stay

Very good experience, kids loved seeing the horses at the bottom of the garden. Slight problem with the shower when we arrived, but this was fixed about as fast as we could hope for. Overall, would definitely recommend

Calm and restful.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Nice pool that our two teenage children enjoyed. Very quiet and peaceful. Extremely nice family owners.

Lovely cottage in a gorgeous setting.

The cottage was perfect for us. The pool was brilliant, we spent hours in there and the setting was just beautiful. We had a welcome basket and flowers from the family 😍 Plenty of nice walks for the dogs and about 15 minutes from the park and ride into York. It was just what we needed for our holiday.

Lovely rare find

This place was cosy, with a great enclosed garden, walks nearby and enough things to do even in the rain. The pool was lovely and the tennis court was well maintained. Exceeded our expectations.

Excellent Accommodation

The cottage and estate that it is on were amazing. The cottage was very clean and came equipped with everything we could have needed. The swimming pool was fantastic as was the tennis court. We also thoroughly enjoyed stroking and talking to the horses in the field. Would highly recommend.
