We had a lovely three-night stay! The house was super clean, cosy and in a great location, with easy access from the pier. The layout was really nice — there are two rooms upstairs. One has the living room and kitchen, while the other has the bedroom with the bathroom inside. The bedroom and bathroom were both really spacious and comfortable. The hosts left biscuits and milk, which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch, and there was also a really helpful welcome book with everything we needed to know about the place and the local area. The only small recommendation would be to respond a little quicker to messages. We asked about a later checkout as 10am felt quite early, but unfortunately didn’t hear back.Overall, though, we had a super lovely and comfortable stay. Perfect for couples, and we’d definitely recommend it. We can’t wait to come back!

The property was having the outside painted which the owner warned us about and it wasn't a problem but the front path was covered in debris which could easily have been swept. The front garden which was listed as part of our accomodation was full of the builders mess so not useable. We found the decor in this property far too dark. For a small space the dark aubergine walls were overbearing and depressing. There was not enough light to cook and wash up even on a bright day. It was over crammed with antique / vintage furniture and not practical. The giant sofa in the bedroom only left a foot between it and the bed which meant I frequently knocked my foot on it coming and going from the bathroom. A chest of drawers would have been much more appropriate as there was no where to store clothes other than hanging ones. The beautiful antique bed squeaked with every movement. Not at all romantic as the owner described! The sensor light by the bed to illuminate the 2 steep stairs down to the bathroom flashed on every time I moved in bed. The different levels in this flat would be a problem for some people. A step down and another up crossing from the living room to the bedroom was at the top of the steep staircase. Anyone losing their footing would easily fall down the stairs. The same problem with the bedroom / bathroom. 2 steep steps down from the bedroom level to the bathroom. Dangerous when using at night.
