4 Bedrooms- Sleeps 8. A spacious cottage located in a peaceful location on the tidal island of Omey, adjacent to the wide expanse of white sandy beach at Omey Strand. Access on to the island by car is possible when the tide is out. The property owner will advise on tide times. When the tide is closed, you will have time to explore Omey Island, its coastline, flora and fauna, its wildlife, and its beaches. Located along the Wild Atlantic Way, the cottage and island are near to many activities and attractions, and the local towns and villages of Claddaghduff, Cleggan and Clifden, will provide you with all you need for your self-catering stay. The property offers wonderful views of the ocean from almost every room, as well as views of the surrounding countryside. Ideal for families, friends, and groups. Local activities include pony trekking, kayaking, coasteering, hill walking, boat tours, golf, and many more. Enjoy a day trip by ferry to Inishbofin, which departs from the pier in nearby Cleggan village. Climb Diamond Hill at Connemara National Park and drive the Connemara Loop. There are many places to experience along the Wild Atlantic Way in Connemara and a self-catering stay on Omey Island is a unique place to base yourself while exploring the region.

Facilities:
4 Bedrooms- Sleeps 8. The property is all on one level and includes 4 bedrooms, family bathroom, open plan kitchen and dining room, two living rooms and a utility room. Sea views are on offer from almost all rooms in the cottage. The large kitchen/dining area includes a kitchen island, and easily accommodates 8 persons. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary equipment, including electric oven and grill, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric kettle, toaster, and coffee maker. The living room boasts a stone fireplace with wood burner stove, comfortable sofas, and flat screen TV. The second living room is an ideal space to sit and read while enjoying the wonderful outdoor views. Bedrooms one and two are king bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom with WC and shower. The third and fourth bedrooms and both twin bedrooms. The family bathroom includes bath, WC and sink. The large utility room completes the accommodation, and it houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. The property is oil centrally heated throughout. A travel cot and highchair are available. Wi-Fi is included. Towels and linens are provided. Parking is available for up to three cars. One pet is welcome but must remain in the utility room and sleep in its own bed/crate. Pets are not allowed in bedrooms, on furniture, or on wooden floors. Pets must be always kept under owners' control, as the lands surrounding the property are farmlands and contain livestock. The island is accessible by driving across Omey Strand at low tide. The property owner/caretaker will advise on the best times to cross to and from to the island.
